One Boy's Journey Chapter 61

Written by Brianna Demonet

John arrived on a Friday afternoon. He stopped by my office after checking in at the FBI office. He was driving his Honda Civic. Surprisingly It still looked as nice as the first time we went on a date. I guess it made sense I was still driving my Traverse.

We stopped and picked a pizza and salad and he followed me to my apartment. We ate first, then unloaded his car, which was packed to the gills! It was mostly clothes and a few new suits.

John was surprised by my additional tattoos and body piercings. He loved my tongue and clitty piercings. We made love for hours! It was everything I remembered. I felt alive again.

Becky invited us to the house on Saturday for a pool party. Aunt V let me keep the Dolce&Gabbana bikini. So I knew what I was wearing. We walked into Becky's house, and everyone was there. They congratulated John on his graduation from Quantico.

They were really surprised when I showed them my engagement ring. Everyone was very happy for us. I told them we didn't have a date yet, but everyone was invited.

Becky said we should have the wedding in Napa Valley at the Mumford Winery.

I explained we were having our wedding in Vegas at the country club.

Matt and Carol were there.

Matt looked at us both. Guys, I need a minute!

Sure said John what can I do for you?

Actually, it's what I can do for both of you! As you both know, California Real Estate is in the toilet right now. At Ree's request, I put together a list of homes for you both to look at.

A house? We don't have the money! John said in shock.

John, my apartment is way too small for five people. I said. Besides I've been saving.

John rolled his eyes a bit and relented.

Matt showed us a list of some very nice places.

Ree, these homes cost 7 figures! That would wipe out my entire portfolio!

John darling, you're forgetting I'm paying for half of it in cash. Besides, in two more years, I'll be making a lot more. Between our incomes, we can afford it, and I can get more if we need it.

How! John asked.

You are not the only one to get a settlement from a lawsuit. My parents invested wisely too!

But your parent's house?

Was only a fraction of the money Mom and I were awarded.

Everyone will think I'm on the take! John said.

Now you're being silly! I said.

Okay, Ree! I trust you, but I'm going to need to think about this. There's a lot to consider! School for the children, commute time to work, taxes!

I laid out taxes, insurance rates, school districts, and travel times. Matt said. In fact, this one is two miles west of here. I have the key box code if you're interested in looking at it?

Please, John? Looking doesn't cost anything!

Okay, let's take a look! John was a little reluctant, but he gave in.

We excused ourselves and Carol and Matt drove us to the house.

It was a beautiful place; the outside was taupe with a dark brown Spanish clay tile roof. It had a 4-stall garage and a pool. The house had 6 bedrooms and 5 and half bathrooms. The kitchen and breakfast nook are open to the living room. The living room overlooked the pool.

The second floor had 5 bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms had their own bathroom and two bedrooms shared a connecting bathroom. The house was painted all in white on the inside. It had a nice-sized formal dining room. There was also a first-floor den.

I fell in love with it immediately.

The owner has it listed on a short sale. This one is probably the best one for the money. The others are pretty nice too. Matt said. Just do me a favor and call me before you make an offer.

California has a lot of clauses and fees that can be avoided if you buy it right. A lot of real estate agents can stretch out a sale for a little extra money. So make sure you call me! Matt said.

We will! John said thank you!

Thanks, Matt! I kissed his cheek.

We went back to the party and had a wonderful time. John couldn't keep his hand off my ass! I loved it.

Over the next three weeks, John and I looked at at least a dozen different homes. They were all nice. A couple needed a lot more work than we wanted to put into them. Most of them didn't have a pool. I wanted a pool.

After four weeks and several conversations with my parents and Matt. We made an offer on the first house after my Dad did his inspection. It took three weeks to close the deal.

Dad came up after the closing and started painting the inside. John and I spent our weekends painting and cleaning the place up. Two months after the closing we started moving in.

We replaced the bedroom carpeting. We upgraded the outdated light switches and a few ceiling fans. We replaced the fridge and moved the old fridge to the garage. John and Dad added ceiling fans in the garage, too.

Dad went to the Home Depot and bought us stainless steel diamond-plated cabinets and a large tool bench for the garage.

Jii and Yon became landlords and started renting out John's house as an Airbnb. It was surprising to see how popular it was to rent. They actually made more money than traditional rent.

The children were already in the middle of the school year when we finally got moved in. John and I drove back and forth several times visiting the children and picking up things to take with us. The kids didn't really want to move, but at the same time, they wanted their parents.

John and I scheduled a week off over Christmas to go to Vegas.

Things were going pretty well! John and I put in long hours, but for the most part, our weekends were free.

We had a date set for the wedding. The first weekend in June. We couldn't get married in a Catholic Church because I am transgender. So, we reserved a flower garden at UNLV.

The reception was at the country club. I called Shelly and told her the good news she told me she was getting married that same weekend. We started talking and soon we were planning a double wedding. Shelly was a Lutheran and their minister didn't care about me being transgender.

I called the school and canceled the garden. We called the country club, and we reserved the grand ballroom. We sent out the invitations as a double wedding.

It was going to be huge. Shelly and I were excited. The guys didn't mind too much. It did solve a huge issue for John and Julius. John was debating between his partner, Blake, and his best friend, Julius.

Lexi was my maid of honor. I thought about asking Aunt V, but I decided that my Mom and Aunt V should walk down the aisle together. My Dad was walking me down the aisle.

My bridesmaids were Emma, Anita, Kelly, and Cheryl.

John's Best man was Blake. John's groomsmen were Adam, Ji-Ho, James Sanders, Lexi's ex-high school boyfriend, and Evan Miles, Emma's ex-boyfriend.

I vaguely knew anyone in Shelly or Julius' bridal party. We had a lot of time between now and then. Mom, Aunt V, Yon Julius Mom, and Shelly's parents did a lot of the coordination and work.

They hired a wedding planner. All I had to do was pick out my dress or dresses! Shelly wanted to do two dresses, one for the ceremony and the other for the reception. When I told my mom how expensive it was, she said it wouldn't be an issue.

About two weeks after the invitations went out we got a call from Yon.

Soo-Min reached out and wanted to come to our wedding. She told Yon the only way she could get a temporary reprieve on her travel restrictions was if John and I Agreed.

I told John I didn't want her there or any of their family for that matter. However they are your family, and I'll respect your decision if you say otherwise.

John told his mom to text her number and I'll call her and talk to her. But if she wants an immediate answer it's No! Mom, do not give her my phone number! We'll call her when we are ready.

John called Russ in Reno. The same guy that sets up phones for Becky's law firm. He sent John a cheap burner with a rotating phone number and no GPS on it.

We talked non-stop about Soo-Min and her crazy request for a week.

Soo-Min hates me I said!

I'm not a fan of her anymore either Ree! However, we need to consider this carefully. If we say no, that pretty much means our children will never be welcomed by my extended family.

If we say yes. I can promise you we'll have extra security there. We both have a lot of friends in the Clark County Sheriff's Department.

Okay! Soo-Min and Mi-Lee can come with their husbands only. But I swear to God, if they try fucking up the wedding, they'll be putting me behind bars!

That's not going to happen, Ree! John said.

For everyone's sake, I hope not! It's not just my wedding! It's Shelly's too.

Christmas in Vegas went off without a hitch! Hank and May came. So did Cathy and Caleb, Ryan and Marie. The Stapleton clan went to Michigan for Christmas as they usually did.

The nice thing about being engaged was John and I could sleep together in the same room. We spent as much time as possible with our children. We slept in my room at my house.

Lexi was up and around. She was moving slowly after her SRS surgery. I made sure to visit with her too. As sore as she was she was happy. She showed me her beautiful flower. Doctor Sophia Channel did an amazing job. She hates the dilation therapy.

I told her as painful as it was, it's critical for her future if she wants to have sex. I also told her it's a good idea to get a slightly larger one after she has no pain on number 5. I didn't regret it, John's a big boy!

Hank brought several cases of wine. We had a blast. Mom and Dad made Christmas dinner. We had the Park's over dinner. Dad smoked an enormous prime rib. It was great.

I took the kids for rides in the Camaro. Cathy loved the car, and so did Big Caleb.

Brianna might be Jealous said Caleb. Bree always wanted a convertible.

Sorry, this one isn't for sale! I said smiling with pride. We had a pool party the next day. I wore a black conservative one-piece that covered almost everything.

We drove home a few days later. We received several official documents regarding travel for Soo-Min and Mi-Lee's trip to the US. There was a lot of legal language regarding restrictions on their trip.

They were to be tagged with ankle monitoring almost instantly when they reported to customs immediately after exiting the plane. Sheriff's deputies would be assigned as escorts and they had to pay for the cost of the escorts.

They weren't allowed near our residents. They were given 12 hours to attend the wedding and reception. It was worded and formatted similar to a prisoner getting furlough to visit family for a wedding or funeral.

John kinda rolled his eyes as we read the documents. We filled out the forms and sent everything back the following day. I actually felt pretty good about the way things were being handled. None of this was my idea.

I found out much later it was Judge Harris who piled on the restrictions. But it was all legal. I never called him. I did send him an invite. I sent one to Judge Franks and Mr Summers as well as the Smith family.

Mom invited Mr and Mrs Newhouse to the wedding as well. Mom didn't want any hard feelings. The boys were not invited. I could forgive them, but I couldn't in good conscience invite the boys responsible for my attack. Besides, if John found out, he would kill them.

Over the next few months, everything seemed to speed up. I swapped with cases, and John was hip-deep in an investigation. I was just happy he wasn't working undercover. He was working in Korea town a lot.

It made sense; he was one of less than ten agents in the whole federal building who spoke Korean. I was able to flip more than one suspect because they thought I didn't speak another language. I speak four languages now. Korean, Spanish, Italian, and English.

As the month of May approached I was stressed out! I need to clear my desk. I had 3 weeks vacation saved. John and I were taking the kids to Disney World for 10 days.

We were going to do a honeymoon but changed it to a familymoon. John and I thought it would be better for the kids. Brianna was a big help with the reservations.

We were staying at the Key West resort. We had a huge condo with three bedrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and a patio with a barbeque. We had full access passes and reservations at every high-level restaurant and a wine and dine plan.

All we needed was cash for gratuity. The week before the wedding. I was scared. I didn't say anything to John, but he could tell. I could tell he was scared too!

The weekend before we left for Vegas, Becky had us over on Saturday afternoon for a small party and dinner.

The guys talked to John and the girls talked to me. Lisa was there and she talked me through a lot of things. Bree always said talking to Lisa was like washing your hands. She had a way of helping you filter out all the bullshit.

John and I drove to Vegas. John was a little upset with me last month when I bought his Tux for him, It was Versace. I'm not a kept man he commented.

No your not! But you're not walking down the aisle with me in a rented tux either. Besides, you will get more than one use out of it anyway, I said. My Dad has one, and you're going to look funny wearing a rental! John relented.

Becky paid for my dress. My Mom was a little disappointed about not buying my dress, but she was grateful to Becky. I felt the same way. Becky said It was the bonus I never got for all my great work. Becky also said there was no way a future partner of her law firm was going to be anything except a first-class dress.

It was a silk and lace floor-length shoulders mermaid's dress. It came with a mid-length mermaid party dress with similar designs. Thank goodness I was in shape this dress didn't hide anything.

I saw pictures of Shelly's dress it was similar but just different enough to tell the difference. Plus, Shelly was three inches taller than I was.

I dropped off John at his parent's house. I visited with the children for a while and went back to my house for the night. We had three days before the wedding and there was a lot to do!

Mom, Yon, Aunt V, and I did last-minute checks with Shelly and her mother. We checked the reception, the church, and the last-minute fittings for the dresses. We double-checked the guest list, the florist, and the bakery.

The following day, we got together both with wedding parties and made a day of it, lunch, dinner, and socializing. It was fun. Lexi was as happy as I ever saw her. Everyone could see her perkiness. Only Emma and I knew why.

The day before the wedding was rehearsal Day. We rehearsed the wedding ceremony for three hours. We had a rehearsal dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse.

After dinner broke up I kissed John goodbye and said I'd see him tomorrow. The guys went their way, and we girls went out way. It was bachelor and Bachelorette party time.

We got all dressed up in our sexiest and most revealing outfits. Lexi and I wore our latex outfits. All my body jewelry was on full display. Shelly and her friends were blown away. My Tattoos were a favorite subject of the night so were Lexi's!

All my friends had, at minimum double naval piercings, like Lexi, Emma, and I. Shelly, and most of her friends had a naval piercing. We went to a couple different clubs that night.

We went to the Magic Mike review at the Sahara. The girls made a real show of Shelly and me on stage. They had three different guys dancing around me. A Cowboy, Cop, and Fireman. The cop was my favorite. Lexi, Emma, and the male dancers made Shelly and I pole dance for them. It was a wild night!

I was given more lap dances than I could count. Shelly got it just as bad. The football player was all over Shelly. She was blushing as badly as I did.

Lexi and I shared an Uber to Lexi's house.

So you want to come in? She grabbed my hand gently and smiled slightly tugging towards the door.

Just for a minute, we have salon appointments in the morning. I said.

I'm aware! Said Lexi.

We went up to her room.

I want you, Ree! Just one last time! I want you to be my first!

Lexi! I'm getting married tomorrow!

Exactly! I would never get in the way of you and John! But I want our last time to be my first!

Lexi stripped off her clothes and kissed me. She knew exactly how to touch me. Her touch sent shivers throughout my body. I melted into her kiss.

She handed me a strap-on and fastened it to me. I watched as she deepthroated the phallus, it was sexy. She played with my flower as she sucked the phallus.

Take me Ree!

I slowly pushed inside her new flower. I watched Lexi's face as I pushed inside her. Lexi made new facial expressions. Her moaning was soft with sharp squeaks.

Lexi and I made love for over an hour. We kissed goodnight and I walked home.

It was after 2 am when I snuck into my house.

I stripped off my club clothes and took a shower. My mom was sitting on the edge of my bed when I walked into my room.

Mom?

Sit down, sweetheart!

Okay. I said with a questioning look on my face.

Are you ready for tomorrow?

As ready as I can be. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, maybe scared a little.

How's Lexi?

She's fine, I guess.

You know that special benefit you share has to end! Mom said.

Mom! You know?

Of course sweetheart! I've always known. You both share way too much torment in your lives to not share a special bond. But this has to be the last time between you both.

It was, mom. Lexi just wanted me to be her first after her surgery. Oh my gosh! I can't believe I'm talking about this!

Sweetheart, are you sure about tomorrow?

Yes, Mom, I love him and his children! I think deep down, I always wanted to girl, wife, and mother.

Really?

Mom, I had nothing as a boy. No friends, no life. I was a shut-in, with Internet gaming friends I never met and zero future.

The only thing I had besides my dreams, was you! I know you always did the best you could! I know you loved me. To be honest, looking back at everything, the only reason I survived as a boy for as long as I did was because of you.

After my attack, you did everything you could to give me a fresh start. You and Aunt V did everything in your power to support me. I know you didn't want to send me away. At first, I didn't want to leave.

But I knew you were doing what you thought was best. You were right! You've always been in my corner even when you weren't there. Aunt V told me many things over the years. I know everything you did was for me. I love you, Mommy!

I hugged her as I cried.

I love you too, baby girl!

We cried together, I loved it. It felt so good to be loved, to know she cared so much.

Mom, about Lexi you don't need to worry. We're good. Lexi and I share everything. She knows how much I love John. She's always known how I feel.

Tonight was our last night together. It was also her first time after surgery. I couldn't say no to the one friend in the world I have that has seen me through everything since I moved here.

My success in school and with my friends all are due in great part to Lexi. Saying no to her tonight would have been like disrespecting you or Aunt V.

I just want to be sure you know things are going to be a lot different after tomorrow! There's no going back, Ever! Mom said.

Mom! What John and I share is very special! Even after five years of not seeing him. The moment I saw him in the hospital. I knew I still loved him as much as I ever did.

Just so long as you are sure!

As sure as any bride can be with butterflies! I said.

Sweetheart, I'm so very proud of you. I have no doubt you will make a wonderful wife and mother!

I learned from the best! I smiled and hugged her tightly.

You better get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow. We have to be at the Salon at 9 am and your wedding is at 4 pm.

It was 3 am when I went to sleep. I woke up just after 8 am. I took a shower and tied my hair in a high ponytail. I just used a little foundation for makeup.

I put on my skinny jeans, a pink half-T-shirt, and my open-toed wedge sandals. I wore my T-shirt bra and my white lace thong panties I bought just for this day.

Mom set a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of me.

Eat young lady! You're going to need your strength today!

The car is loaded up, Brenda, You're going to be late if you don't leave soon!

Okay, Dan, Ree has to eat first!

I'm very happy for you Ree!

Thank Daddy!

I ate quickly, a skill I developed as a college student.

We drove past Aunt V's house, and Aunt V, Taylor, and Lexi followed us.

The salon was closed for the day due to our wedding parties.

Lori greeted me. Come on Princess! It's time to get ready for the Ball! She said.

The next six hours were filled with giggling chatter and half-naked women rotating from station to station. My bridesmaids and I were taken to the Tattoo room. We were all given white henna tattoos.

Our hands were covered in lace pattern tattoos. Mine covered the back of my hands and all the way up my forearm. My back was covered in white henna lace to accent my semi-backless dresses. Lori applied my petal bra.

Lexi gave me her charm bracelet to borrow with our blue Mustang high school charm. Mom gave me my grandma's mother's diamond hairpin.

All of us were finally dressed. Aunt V put on my shoes. She said, This is for you sweetheart! I bought it for when I bought your pearls! I've been wanting for such an occasion!

She gave me a pearl anklet. She looked at me with love and a tear in her eye.

Rianna Marie, I love you like a daughter; over these past years, we've grown very close. I have never been more proud of you than I am today! You have blossomed beyond my imagination. I'm so happy for you! Aunt V said with tears in her eyes.

I hugged her tightly! I love you too! Thank you for giving me a wonderful life!

It's been a privilege watching you grow! Aunt V said. My Mom cried too!

The limo is here ladies! Time to go! Lori shouted! We'll meet you at the church!

Two White H2 Hummer stretch limos took Shelly's bridal party and mine to the church. We entered through the back and waited.

The guys all waited outside as everyone was seated.

Shelly and I held hands waiting for our wedding march to begin. Shelly went first and I followed after she was at the alter. Shelly was a beautiful bride. Her golden brown hair was tied up and shaped like flowers.

My hair was styled similarly, but copper red was styled slightly differently. I wore 6-inch platform heels to balance my height with John and the rest of the wedding parties.

As I walked down the Isle with my Dad, he squeezed my hand softly and said I love you, my beautiful daughter!

I smiled proudly with the love a daughter can only have for her father. Dan wasn't a stepfather; he is my Dad!

That little gesture gave me goosebumps and the confidence to walk proudly at his side.

Who gives this bride to be married? The minister asked.

I do! My father said.

I watched my Dad take a seat next to my Mom and Aunt V. My step-sisters and their families were in the front pew, beaming big smiles for me. I nodded my head softly.

The ceremony took about 40 minutes. We signed our marriage licenses together.

We said our vows to each other.

I barely remember our vows. Reality set in when John put the ring on my finger. I looked into his almond-shaped eyes, and all I saw was love! I placed the ring on his finger and he was stunned!

It was 22-karat gold; it had a half-karat diamond in the center and two 1/4-karat diamonds on each side. Becky helped me have it made especially for him. I also got him a plain 18-karat gold ring for everyday wear, but not today!

The minister announced us as husbands and wives! You may kiss your brides!

John slowly raised my veil and kissed me softly and a little deeply. My left leg went up as we embraced. I felt so proud to be Rianna Stevens-Park.

We marched to the waiting Limo's. We took the long way to the country club. We got to the country club. Everyone was waiting inside the ballroom for us. The crowd looked much bigger than it did in church.

We lined up and Shelly and Julius and their party entered first and were announced as they entered. I saw James and Lexi flirting before we marched in. Emma was flirting with Evan.

The best men and maids of honor gave a wonderful toast. Ji-Ho was extremely well-spoken.

Cheryl gave us both a wonderful toast so did Anita and Kelly.

Cathy gave John and I a wonderful toast as well. She called me her little sister.
Our parents and Aunt V gave us a great toast and well wishes.

The Dinner was London Broil and Salmon. Everything was perfect. Soo-Min and Mi-Lee were well-behaved and congratulated us. They were both gracious and apologetic. They spent much of their time with the children.

Julius, Shelly, John, and I visited every table, thanking everyone. Our gift tables were piled high with gifts.

It was after 1 am when things started breaking up.

Mom, Dad, and Aunt V collected our wedding gifts and took them back to my house.

John and I had a bridal suite reserved at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Shelly and Julius were down the hall in a similar suite.

John and I made love for hours. I was so in love with him. I finally felt like a whole person. John took me in every position we could think of. John even made love to me in my rosebud. I loved it.

He played with all my body jewelry. I was so turned on I did everything to please him. I made him feel worshipped! We had an incredible wedding night! I was walking with a bit of effort the next morning.

I texted Shelly and the four of us ordered room service in her room. Julius and John decided to go get us espressos from the lobby.

Shelly and I exchanged stories of our adventures from the night before. She was walking about as well as I was.

You've come a long way, Ree! I'm so happy for you!

Me? You're a surgeon now! That's an incredible accomplishment!

Maybe, but my path wasn't as tough as yours!

We agreed to try and celebrate our wedding anniversary together as much as we could.

Breakfast arrived, and soon after, our guys.

We ate, packed up, and went our separate ways.

We took a cab back to my house first. We spent a little time with Mom and Dad. We went to John's house and packed up the children. We headed back to my house and had a gift unwrapping with a few close friends.

My step-sisters and their families came over. The kids played in the pool until dinner. John, Dad and I packed up the car for our flight to Disney World. We were scheduled for 10 full days.

The next morning, we were flying to Orlando, Florida. We checked into our villa. It was beautiful. The next ten days were a lot of fun. I've never been here before and John only once when he was 10.

The kids and I bonded. I took the girls to Cinderella's Castle for princess makeovers. They loved it. They had autograph books and got many autographs from a lot of characters.

We flew back to Vegas. Dad had his truck and car hauler packed up with all our things. My SUV was packed up as well. Mom and Dad followed us to San Francisco.

Jii and Yon would be two days behind us with the kids.

Three days later we were settled in. Brianna was watching our kids initially while we worked. Soon, the kids were settled into daycare, and we had a routine.

The kids loved having their Dad around again. Caleb had weekly appointments with Lisa. She was amazing and Caleb responded well.

On our Fifth wedding anniversary, we got together with Julius and Shelly and went to Italy for a week. Shelly gave birth to a boy named John and a girl named Maria. Both were beautiful children.

Emma, after 3 years of dating after my wedding, finally married Evan.

Lexi married James soon after that.

Caleb is following in his father's footsteps as a martial artist. He was awarded his red belt on his eleventh birthday.

The girls are also in martial arts as well but have taken up ballet. They are very talented.

Due to my success and office attrition, I was promoted to Bureau Chief in my fourth year at the prosecutor's office. I stayed on for three more years. Becky hired me as a full partner.

John was promoted to supervising agent and spent less time in the field.

Our relationship has never been stronger. I kept my word to both Soo-Min and Mi-Lee that I would support teaching the children Korean culture. Yon, May, and Cathy were very supportive.

John and I have been happily married for over five years. I haven't thought about anything from my tragic past in a long time. I had everything I dreamed about: a loving husband and children. A great career and a nice place to live.

I was at my desk when I got the call I was warned about so many years ago.

It was the parole department of the state of Ohio. I almost dropped the phone.

William Bond and Paul Jeffries were up for parole. They had a hearing scheduled in two weeks. I had almost forgotten their names. My palms started to sweat and my heart rate was climbing. I had a panic attack right in my office.

Sharon was my Para-legal and right hand. We were good friends as well as trusted colleagues. She picked up the phone and finished my call. Sharon took me to see Lisa immediately.

After an hour I was back to normal.

Two weeks later, my parents, Cathy, John,, and I went to Ohio. We flew John's parents to San Francisco to watch the kids.

Cathy went through everything with Mom and I about the case. It was a very emotional two weeks waiting for the hearing.

The parole board listened to their statements that they were reformed and ready for society again. As I listened to them each speak, all I could hear was that bullshit charm they used to talk their way out of everything.

Their parents were there to explain they had changed and had jobs waiting for them on the outside.

I could feel Ghost pains from my broken ribs, nose, and dislocated knee. I wanted to scream but I was a stronger person now! Educated and a Megalodon Shark in rooms like this.

I was the last person to speak.

We will now hear from the victim. The parole chairman announced.

I turned on my prosecutor's charm and explained in vivid detail about my attack and its unprovoked and premeditated nature. I explained how I had to be resuscitated on two occasions while I was in a coma for six days.

I explained that I had to have a sex change at the age of 13, and spent over three years in therapy just to be able to function and sleep at night. I explained that I still suffer from the trauma of their actions.

I showed the parole board pictures of me before the attack and in the hospital after. It was because of them I lived with those memories every day.

I ask you to consider all the victims in this case. Not just myself, but also my mother, my Aunt V. I also asked them to consider the Newhouse brothers. How they damaged their lives through intimidation and taking part in my attack. As far as I am concerned they are exactly where they belong, despite their so-called efforts to reform themselves.

We waited for over an hour in the hall as the parole board worked to make a decision.

Their parents looked at me with blank stares.

Bill's father said to me. Is it really worth the effort to make my son continue to pay for a mistake he made so many years ago?

I looked at him with cold eyes. John held my hand firmly. John knew I wanted to kick his ass!

Tell me, Mr Bond! How would you feel as a parent if your son was brutally attacked and almost died? How would you feel knowing that your son had to get a sex change to live a normal life and never be able to give you grandchildren?

How would you feel? Hmm! I said with anger.

Your son's decision that day is a reflection of you and your lousy skills as a parent! Don't talk to me about forgiveness! You don't have a clue!

Why you stuck-up faggot bitch!

He went to take a swing at me. John caught his punch and twisted his arm putting him on his knees.

The Correction officers restrained Mr Bond.

If you want to continue this in the parking lot I'll be happy to oblige you! But you should know I'm an FBI agent and an expert in hand-to-hand combat! John said with great confidence.

Fuck you! You fucking Chink!

I'm an American! And I'm Korean! You sir, just proved my wife's point!

After he was restrained, the corrections officer sat him back down on the bench.

How is your wife by the way? Cathy asked before I could say a word.

This is all your fault! You bitch! I lost everything I love no thanks to you! Mr Bond said in anger.

Sir! If you can't calm down I'll have to move you to a holding cell! The guard said.

I was angry and upset with his hateful speech! But I knew where it came from. I dealt with anger like that almost daily during my time in the prosecutor's office.

I had anger issues myself. But I learned to control it. It's not easy controlling anger.

Mr Bond, I truly am sorry for your plight! I really am. But the fact remains your son and his best friend assaulted and almost killed me for no reason other than they decided to hate me.

You tried intimidating me with harassing phone calls, and your wife tried to kill me, my parents, and my friend in the parking lot outside the courthouse.

I never provoked them, not once! I certainly didn't provoke your wife. Your boy only looked at me like prey. If you can't see that! I don't know what to tell you.

But I can tell you from personal experience, that hate you have inside you. Is blinding you to have a single rational thought.

If you truly want to help him, you need to see past your hate for me and look to the truth.

Easy for you to say! You're a rich and successful big shot with a G-man for a husband.

True! But I can't have children! And live with the trauma of your son's actions every day! How would you honestly feel if you were the parent of the victim?

He looked at me, I probably want vengeance!

All I want is for Bill and Paul to serve their full sentence or until I believe they are sorry! Because frankly, I don't believe them, not a single word! Because as far as I can tell, they sound like every other criminal I ever met and I've met hundreds of them!

We're ready! Said the clerk.

The board has reached a decision on the parole of prisoners William Bond and Paul Jeffries. After careful consideration and the victim's statement, we've decided to continue with the sentence at this time. The prisoners will be eligible for parole in another five years! This case is closed!

Paul and Bill looked at me like I was the enemy with the same hate they beat me with. Mr Bond saw it. He shook his head in disbelief.

We flew back home, I was relieved they would be locked up for another 5 years. I just dread having to do it again!
