I have a slightly different view point - First, at this point he still doesn't actually know what happened to him and he's probably been thinking of and fixating onthe worst possible outcome. - Yes it's still very traumatizing. However, I can attest that with just knowing for sure that certain things didn't happen especially since it's a recorded conversation of the perpetrator admitting it, there's a huge sense of relief? Ease? I don't find Akin's reaction in this or the previous episodes to be unrealistic or inappropriate (maybe it's because of my own experiences). Also I feel that the reason things worked out the way it did is purely so that the situation would seem "realistically overcome-able" which is why I think they really stressed the point of Akin in distress and spiralling from not knowing what happened and blaming himself because in that case, the relief of his biggest fears being "put to bed" is very visible. I do think there could've been better wording in the dialogue between jin & Johnny but overall It was okay, I do wish we got more clarity on why jin didn't take the issue further in the dialogue but I suppose mentioning the company and producers is kind of a tease so I'm expecting to see issues btw jin and his company in future episodes. I do worry that if the "side ship" becomes a couple, the other guy doesn't know the kinds of things Johnny has done so I'm curious to see if and when he'll get exposed Grandma is totally gonna die, I feel like the letter talking about how he wants jin to meet her and her being in the hospital is forshadowing

I get that, we're not judging Kin - but I think the writers and show should be able to adapt the material to a modern audience, they don't need to do the story one-to-one. They can change things around to address the assault better imo. - E

well this story was written during a time where SA was not even taken serious for most women yet, + industry; also johnny was following habits, because everyone else in the industry would do the same thing on paper that kin did to hookup with johnny, drinks(be it wine or liquor), compliments; claiming to protect him; its actually a wonder that johnny didn't fully r4pe kin. its not an exaggeration johnny sold his body for every single role, so i wouldn't think he'd care enough about it to not do it. The show doesn't really get into it but johnny is terrified of jin after that bar scene and not because the blackmail, its because he put a high dose of drugs in jin's drinks and it had no effect and jin tasted it and said it'll take more than that. meanwhile johnny didn't even touch his drink because even a sip of it would mess him up. this was written in the 00s i think and without a doubt the courts would blame kin, at this time there was a college case with high school girl whom went to a frat party, and the courts blamed her the line of questioning was as followed: why did you go? what was your intention? did you lead them on in anyway? why would you go alone? i think it was a Stanford case anyway the guy got a warning and i think the girl got sued that was just the era.... and so for kin as a male that case would probably never even make it to court especially in the east, and his guilt make sense for the time and place. not for nothing its not his first time over drinking and being next to someone without any memory of how he got there. and this is the 2nd co-star he woke up next to confused.... that's not for us to judge him, but probably why he judges himself.

I didn't like the part where Jin said it's not your fault. We know that, he was assaulted. I didn't understand Akin's guilt unless he thought he cheated. I've never worn my clothes in a running shower, like ever.
