Arthur Asks Kelly Out

((I wish I had a better title for this extra, but it is what it is. This is the scene where Arthur asks Kelly out on their date that happened before the start of the Harem House series. I hope you enjoy it and it gives you some insight into Kelly!))

Kelly checked herself in the mirror before entering the gym. She wasn’t the only one to use the locker room mirrors for that purpose, but most people did it when they left.

Her pale freckles were covered enough to quiet the self-conscious thoughts yelling about them. Her luscious, naturally red hair was in a high ponytail with a black scrunchie. She turned her head and watched the swish. Cute? Cute.

Her breasts were encased in a black sports bra that showed off a few inches of cleavage. She couldn’t help that, but it wasn’t lewd or too suggestive. Her otherwise bare arms were sculpted, and it showed off the asset that gave her the most pride: her abs. Her toned upper body tapered to her small and flat waist, her abs popping as she straightened.

Her gray leggings hugged toned calves, thighs, hips, and her second-proudest asset: her butt. Lines of black seams contoured her muscles on the lower half of her body, and the low waistline flirted the gap between hot as fuck and cute as hell.

“You look good.” Kelly told her reflection. “You can do this.” She squared her shoulders. “Just go up to him, tell him you like him, and ask him if he’d like to get a coffee or something. Something casual, low-commitment, and manageable. Something that won't scare him off or come on too strong after his break-up.” It was months ago, but it was one of her many concerns when she listed out everything that might go wrong.

The door to the locker room opened, and someone else came in. Kelly looked over her shoulder but didn’t recognize the younger girl. She sighed, nodded to her reflection, picked up her water bottle, and left the mirror behind.

The gym was busy but not overcrowded. She scanned the faces there but didn’t see the one she was searching for yet. Her schedule had her warming up on the elliptical today, so she took the one directly next to the treadmills, plugged her earphones in, and ran.

She was a quarter-mile into her planned one-mile warm-up when the treadmill next to her started. She looked over to see Arthur walking beside her. She was higher than him because of her machine, but their eyes met, and they both smiled simultaneously. Like his eyes, Arthur’s smile was bright beneath a head of thick dark hair.

“You come here often?” Arthur asked.

Kelly took her earphones out and looked at Arthur. “What?”

Arthur chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, showing off his arm. Kelly wondered if he did it on purpose, but she didn’t mind if so. “I asked if you come here often?”

“Oh.” Kelly said. “Ha, ha.” She gave him a polite but dry laugh bordering on sarcasm. “Only five to six times a week the last couple of years.” She shrugged. “What about you? I think I’ve seen you in here before. You’ve got one of those familiar faces.”

Arthur transitioned from walking to jogging and smiled at her humor. “Yeah, I might have been here a time or two. I can’t say I’ve seen you here before, though. Have you not been here for a while?”

“Dude, what are you talking about? You two work out together all the time.” Brad, the man on the treadmill beside Arthur, had missed most of their conversation. “You’ve been working out together since what, Freshman year?”

Kelly laughed. Arthur blushed and shook his head. Brad started running.

“You hitting chest today?” Brad asked.

“Legs.” Arthur groaned.

“Ha! That’s why I do them on Mondays. Gets them over with.” Brad shrugged.

“Yeah, but then I’d have to do legs and deal with it being Monday.” Arthur shrugged. His hatred for Mondays wasn’t as intense as others'; he only participated because it was culturally expected. He enjoyed getting back to work and being on a schedule, leaving his empty apartment behind for the distractions the office and the university could provide.

“How long are you running for?” Brad asked.

“Just warming up.” Arthur answered. “So a few minutes longer.”

“Always good to warm up the legs before their big day.” Kelly chimed in.

Brad nodded, looking at Kelly only momentarily. He did his best to maintain eye contact but failed when the elliptical bounced her a little as she stepped off.

Arthur’s eye contact never wavered. He wasn’t intense about it, but his eyes never dipped.

“I’ll see you out there.” Kelly said cheerfully as she nodded at Arthur.

Arthur nodded back.

“See you out there!” Brad agreed.

Arthur watched Kelly as she moved to do a circuit on the machines. Brad watched too. Kelly glanced back at Arthur, smiled at him, and then got to work.

“Hey, man.” Brad piped up. “Do you uh… Would you mind if I made a move on your gym buddy there?”

“On Kelly?” Arthur asked, both too quickly and too shocked for his reaction to hide his negative answer.

Brad laughed. “Dude.” He said. “Then what the fuck are you doing? You two are obviously into each other. Go ask her out.”

Arthur glanced at Brad, showing his annoyance. “She’s my ex-girlfriend’s former roommate.”

“And I’m your father’s, brother’s, nephew’s, cousin’s former roommate. So what?” Brad shrugged. “If you don’t ask her out, someone else will. I can tell you want to, and she fuckin’ wants to for sure. You know it, I know it, anyone with eyes knows it, so…” He gestured toward Kelly, who noticed but didn’t say anything as she started the shoulder press.

“It’s complicated.” Arthur shook his head.

“The fuck it is.” Brad shook his head. “Fuck, man. You’re not asking her to marry you or anything, right? Just a date. Ask her out to coffee or something.”

“I don’t drink coffee.” Arthur countered.

“Tea then! Fuck!” Brad exclaimed, which got a few people to glance his way. “Ah… sorry.” He looked a little sheepish. “I swear. If you don’t ask her out, I will, and I’m not doing it for you. Kelly’s the hottest girl at this school. If I thought I had a shot, I’d take it.”

“You’d ruin our friendship over a girl?” Arthur asked.

“Over that girl?” Brad asked. “In a fuckin’ heartbeat.”

Arthur laughed. Brad was joking around like usual, but there was some truth to his words. Kelly was the hottest girl on campus. That much was true. Arthur knew it; now he knew he wasn’t the only one who thought so. Everything about her made Arthur weak, from her hourglass figure to her cute freckles, her toned abs to her sparkling green eyes.

“Just do it!” Brad said, imitating a popular catchphrase.

Arthur laughed. “Okay, okay. Get off my back. I’ll ask her out.”

Brad laughed in triumph. “Good! Maybe now you can get laid and stop moping about that Lori bitch.”

“Hey.” Arthur’s face and tone conveyed a healthy measure of warning.

“Too far?” Brad asked.

“Too far.” Arthur agreed.

“Sorry.” Brad raised his hands in surrender. “I just don’t like to see you moping. You deserve a chance with a hot girl.” He gestured toward Kelly again. “And when you strike out, I’ll swoop in and show her how a real man does things.”

Arthur laughed again and slowed his run. He stepped off the treadmill, and Brad gave him a swift swat on the back for luck as he kept running.

Arthur walked over toward Kelly, who’d moved on to the free-weights.

“Hey, Kelly?” He asked as he approached, timing it so she was finishing a set.

Kelly took out her earphones again and looked up at him. “What’s up?” She asked.

“I, uh…” Arthur cleared his throat. “I was wondering if you’d like to go on a date with me. Something casual, no pressure, just a date.” He said. “Maybe dinner? Or a coffee?”

“Dinner sounds nice.” Kelly agreed. “Somewhere casual.” She nodded. She’d still dress up a little, and her mind was currently racing through her wardrobe in a desperate search for something pretty he would like. Her outer demeanor was calm and confident.

“Good.” Arthur nodded, clapping his hands together. “Sounds great!” He agreed. “See you then!” He immediately headed toward the leg circuit machines.

“Uh… Arthur?” Kelly called after him.

“Yeah?” Arthur asked, turning back.

“When?” Kelly asked.

“Oh.” Arthur laughed.

Kelly joined in his laughter and pulled out her phone. “How about Friday?” She asked. “That’s my first free night unless you’d like to make it tonight.”

“I have a class tonight.” Arthur shook his head. “So… Friday? Friday works for me.” He agreed. “I’ll pick you up?”

“I’ll meet you there.” Kelly decided. It was probably easier that way.

“Okay.” Arthur said. “Uh… where?”

“Oh.” Kelly considered a moment. “Wherever you pick is fine.”

“Okay.” Arthur agreed immediately, taking on the responsibility. “Any food allergies I should know about?”

“I tend to stay away from junk food.” Kelly smirked. “But no allergies really. I’ll get stuffy with too much dairy, though.”

“Okay.” Arthur agreed. “I’ll pick something and text you.” His mind raced through all the restaurants he knew that might be considered casual while still nice enough to take a girl like Kelly on a date.

“Okay.” Kelly agreed. “I can’t wait.”

Arthur smiled at her.

She smiled at him.

Arthur nodded and turned away. He went over to the leg circuit and started working out. Kelly returned to her workout. She watched him in the mirror occasionally and spotted Brad walking over to him after he was done with the treadmill. The two talked briefly and then high-fived.

Kelly laughed and finished her curls.

After her workout, the rest of her day was a blur. It wasn’t until she returned to her apartment that she had time to think about her date again.

The high-rise apartment looked out over the suburbs in one direction and the beginning of the city in the other. The door opened to her living room, and her roommate popped up from the sofa like she’d been bitten by something. The man under her suggested she might have been. They were both fully clothed but disheveled.

“No stains on my sofa.” Kelly reminded her.

“Yes, Momma.” Katelyn teased her.

“Hey, Kelly.” Sean said as he sat up and fixed his hair. “How you doin’?” He watched her as she walked in and set her purse down by the door.

“I am fantastic.” She said cheerily as she pulled her phone from her purse.

“Did you ask him out? You never texted.” Katelyn sounded disappointed.

“Sorry, I got busy with my lesson plans, but even better! He asked me out!” Kelly smiled as she turned to catch Katelyn’s excited hug. The two girls bounced up and down as Sean watched from the sofa.

“Some guy asked you out?” Sean asked with a hint of jealousy in his tone that Kelly chose to perceive as protectiveness.

“Not some guy.” Kelly shook her head. “Arthur.” She corrected. “I’ve known him since Freshman year. He’s…”

“He’s Kelly’s dream man.” Katelyn shrugged. “How did you describe him?”

“Like Chris Evans and Henry Cavill had a baby together?” Kelly asked.

Sean laughed. “That wouldn’t even work, they’re both dudes.”

Kelly glanced at Katelyn, who rolled her eyes at her boyfriend.

“Come on.” She said. “We can hang out in my room.”

“Okay. We were gonna order some food.” Sean told Kelly. “Do you want anything?”

“Don’t bother.” Kelly shook her head. “I’ll make something.”

“Oh, you don’t have to do that.” Katelyn assured her.

Kelly was already walking toward the kitchen on the other side of the ‘dining room.’ “I don’t mind.” She said. “I have to make dinner for myself, anyway. It’s just a few more ingredients.”

“Okay.” Katelyn said. “If you’re sure.”

“I’m sure.” Kelly said, pulling on her apron. “Are sweet potato wedges and grilled chicken okay?” She asked.

“Of course.” Katelyn said from her place, standing behind one of the dining room chairs. “Do you need any help?”

“No, I’m good.” Kelly said. “You two can watch TV or whatever. It’s going to take maybe an hour.”

“Thanks, Momma.” Katelyn blew her a kiss.

Kelly rolled her eyes and gestured with her knife for Katelyn to get back into the living room section of their apartment.

There wasn’t much division between the rooms. The living room and dining room were two halves of the same rectangular room, divided by an open counter from the kitchen. The island in the center of the center of the kitchen made for a narrow walk space, but Kelly was absolutely the mistress of her domain.

Katelyn took Sean by the hand and led him away from the living room. Kelly heard her bedroom door close and tried to ignore the sounds of their making out as she cut the potato wedges.

The red and white checkered apron she wore was one of her favorites. It was plain but protective, and its black pockets sewn onto the skirt were deep and strong. It also had two shoulder straps she could tie to the belt rather than behind her neck, which was always better than a halter top for her back.

She stepped through the kitchen as she worked in her heels and pretended she was making dinner for herself and Arthur instead of her roommate and her boyfriend. This time of day? Arthur would be coming home from work soon. Kelly’s hair and makeup were flawless, but she’d touch it up while the wedges baked. She seasoned the wedges and laid them out on the sheet, then cut the chicken while waiting for the oven to preheat.

She imagined Arthur as she worked, falling into her fantasy world.

The sound of Arthur’s keys jingling before he unlocked the door was always her notice to start moving toward it. She unlocked the door before he could find his key and opened it for him like she always did.

Arthur laughed and stepped inside. “Well, hello, beautiful.”

“Welcome home.” Kelly said.

Arthur took her chin and kissed her. She kissed him, her hands on his chest beneath his suit jacket. Their ‘welcome home’ kiss was never polite or chaste. It was passionate. It bordered on lewd, with her hands on his chest and his arms wrapping around her, sliding down her back, pulling her against him with a ferocity that told her how much he missed her while he was gone.

They broke the kiss to breathe, and Kelly slid her hands over Arthur’s ridiculously perfect shoulders to push his jacket off. She slid it down his arms as he turned around and took it from him. She folded it over her arm and took his lunch bag with her free hand.

“Sit.” Kelly commanded as she walked toward the bedroom. “I’ve got your bourbon on the coffee table for you, like you like it.”

“You really are too good to me.” Arthur laughed. He removed his shoes by the door and stretched his black socks against the polished hardwood floor. He loosened the collar of his shirt, undoing the top button, and started walking to the sofa.

He plopped into the middle seat as Kelly hung up his suit jacket in the closet and brought his lunch bag to the kitchen.

“Dinner is almost ready.” Kelly informed him. “But you have a few minutes to relax first.”

“Do you need any help?” Arthur offered.

“Absolutely not.” Kelly shook her head. “Stay out of my kitchen.”

Arthur acted offended. “You would dare try to bar me from the kitchen in my house?”

Kelly shook her finger at him. “The last time you tried to help in the kitchen, you burned the lasagna.”

Arthur sipped his drink. “That’s not how I remember it.” He countered. “I remember you letting the lasagna burn because you were distracted.”

“I was distracted because you had me bent over the island counter, and you were trying to break it under us.” Kelly gave him a curled half-smile in mischief.

“Precisely.” Arthur raised his glass. “So I didn’t burn it. It was your fault it burned.”

“It wouldn’t have burned if you hadn’t gotten me distracted.” Kelly argued.

“Well, you wouldn’t have gotten distracted if you hadn’t distracted me first.” Arthur argued.

Their argument carried no heat. It was playful banter, the two flirting back and forth as they remembered the dance they’d stepped through countless times. Theirs was a house full of love—a safe, secure space reinforced with dedication and spiced with passion. The home she'd always wanted.

“Oh?” Kelly asked. “Do I distract you?”

“Every minute of every day.” Arthur put his empty glass down on the coaster.

“Is it ready?” Katelyn’s voice shattered Kelly’s daydream.

Kelly stood before the stove, grilling the chicken breasts sliced into strips on an iron skillet. She glanced at the timer on the oven, and they still had a few minutes before the potatoes were done. Katelyn and Sean hadn’t been in her bedroom for very long, and he was back on the sofa, watching something on Netflix that Kelly didn’t recognize.

“Sure.” Kelly said. “Can you set the table?”

“Oh, you want to eat at the table?” Katelyn asked.

Kelly’s smile faded a little. “We don’t have to.”

“No, we can.” Katelyn said quickly. “I’ll get it set.”

“Thanks.” Kelly turned her attention back to the chicken, but the daydream was gone. She and Katelyn chatted about their day, and Kelly told her how Arthur asked her out. Katelyn thought it was cute. Sean commented from the living room that ‘this Arthur guy sounds like a wuss who needs to man up.’

Kelly chose to ignore him, though Katelyn rebuked him.

“I’m sure it was very romantic.” Katelyn said as she sat at the dining room table.

Kelly brought out the food, setting the chicken on a plate with its sauce ladled over it. The sweet potato wedges were in a basket, with plenty of food for the three of them. Katelyn had set cups of water on the table, plates, and silverware, so they were all set.

Kelly sat at the head of the table, Katelyn next to her, and Sean was still on the sofa, watching Netflix.

“Sean?” Katelyn asked. “You want to join us?”

Sean looked over at the table. “Nah, I’ll just eat here. I’m kinda in the middle of this episode.” He explained. He paused the show, grabbed his plate, piled his food onto it, and returned to the sofa.

Kelly frowned.

Katelyn gave her an apologetic look and stayed at the table.

They ate, but they didn’t have much more of an opportunity to talk. Sean turned up the volume on the television to counteract the volume of their conversation being closer to him, and Kelly gave up trying to converse as they ate.

After dinner, she threw the dishes in the dishwasher, cleaned the pans, and let them dry. Katelyn was cuddling Sean on the sofa, and she gave them both a courteous wave before disappearing into her bedroom.

She locked the door behind her and started stripping off her clothes. With Sean in the apartment, she couldn’t wear anything too risque, but she enjoyed her pajamas. She took off her dress, her bra, and even her panties. She exchanged everything for a silk button-up top and silk pajama shorts. The silk was comfortable against her skin, and she sat on her bed to do her homework.

She tried to focus for a few minutes. Eventually, however, her mind started to wander, and she thought about her date with Arthur and continued her fantasy with him.

“Every minute of every day.” Arthur put his empty glass down on the coaster.

“Well, it’s only fair.” Kelly reminded him. “You distract me too.”

“Come here.” Arthur gestured.

“Sir.” Kelly reprimanded him. “The oven is going to go off in five minutes.”

“Hm…” Arthur seemed to think about it. “You’re right. That’s not enough time. Okay. You have five minutes. Then you can let it cool while we distract one another.”

Kelly giggled and did her final prep. She finished setting the table, and when the timer went off, she pulled the food from the oven and set it on the stovetop to cool. She turned everything off and turned to see Arthur staring at her from the sofa. He crooked his finger at her, and she sighed playfully.

She stepped toward him slowly until she stood between his knees.

“Let your hair down.” Arthur said.

“But–” Kelly started to protest.

Arthur gave her a look that said, ‘What did I just say?’ and she folded. She pulled her hair out of its ponytail and let it fall over her shoulders. She shook it a little, fluffing it with her hand to make it more presentable.

“Beautiful.” Arthur smiled. He reached up for her hands with his, and she took them. He pulled her forward without a word, and she instinctively straddled him on the couch. His length was firm and stiff beneath her, rubbing her as she slid forward until she couldn’t anymore, her arms around his neck with her elbows on his shoulders.

Arthur kissed her, and she breathed him in as their tongues played gently across their lips. The kiss grew more passionate, and Arthur’s hunger for her grew more intense as her body yearned for him. She closed her eyes. His hands moved to her back and unlatched the top of her dress. She smiled through the kiss and let her hands wander down his shoulders and chest between them.

He lowered the zipper of her dress, sliding it down her back until it stopped halfway down her butt. The opening grew as gravity pulled the dress wide, the shoulders fell down her arms, and she pulled her hands up to remove them from her sleeves. The top of the dress completed its fall, pooling about her waist to reveal the elegant green bra she wore with faux jewelry and intricate sheer lace over most of the cups.

Arthur broke the kiss and smiled. He leaned back on the sofa and took her in, his hands on her hips.

“Goddamnit, woman.” Arthur breathed. “I’m going to starve to death one of these days. You’re just too damn distracting.”

Kelly giggled. A red blush flared across her pale, freckled face as she smacked his shoulder. “Stop it.”

“You’d hate me if I did.” Arthur rolled his hips to prove his point and pressed against the molten spot between her legs.

She blushed even more but didn’t acknowledge her lust verbally. She kissed him, forcing him back, and her tongue wrestled with his as he unclasped her bra. She let it fall and tossed it aside to the corner of the sofa. She rolled her hips, grinding against his member, and moaned as she felt it slide against her soaked panties.

“Please.” Kelly asked him. She rolled her hips again.

“Please, what?” Arthur asked, teasing her.

“Please, Sir?” Kelly begged. She rolled her hips.

“Please, Sir, what?” Arthur prompted.

“Please, Sir.” Kelly leaned in close to his ear, holding onto his shirt by the fistfuls with both hands. “Please, fuck me.”

“Of course.” Arthur whispered in return. “I’d do anything for my gorgeous wife.”

Kelly moaned in bliss. She ground against him again. Arthur reached between them and unzipped himself. He slid her panties aside and notched himself at her entrance.

Kelly sat up a little, her hands on his shoulders to prop herself upright, and she rose up. Arthur rolled his hips and pushed into her as she sank onto him. She threw her head back, and Arthur devoured her neck, kissing her passionately along her most sensitive spots as his hands played with her breasts and supported her as she rode him.

It didn’t take her as long as she would have liked. With Arthur, her rock beneath her, looking up at her, telling her how much he loved her, she rode him and pleasured herself nearly as much as it must have pleased him.

They came together, holding each other in exquisite bliss as they crested that wave. They were both panting from the workout but awash in endorphins. Arthur held her, and she curled against him, laying her head on his shoulder. He stroked her upper back gently with his fingertips.

“Good girl.” Arthur told her. “You’re my very good girl.”

Kelly smiled and kissed his jaw with a quick peck. “And you’re my good Sir.”

Arthur swatted her on the butt playfully, and she cuddled even more against him.

“Dinner is ready, though.” Kelly reminded him. “If you’re ready now.”

Arthur laughed and nodded. Kelly dismounted as gracefully as she could. She left the top of her dress down for dinner, but Arthur didn’t mind. He removed his pants since they needed to be dry-cleaned, but Kelly would take care of them tomorrow. And they ate their dinner as happily and in love as any wedded couple might.

Kelly’s fantasy ended, and she opened her eyes to stare at her bedroom ceiling. She was on her bed, her soaked dildo between her thighs, her shorts around one ankle, her top disheveled as she’d groped her breasts that were still tenting the shirt as her nipples tried to poke through.

Her phone buzzed, but she was too masturbation-weary to check it right away. She cleaned up first, then looked at her phone.

Arthur (Lori’s): So I know you said casual, but I was thinking maybe we could try that new steakhouse near campus?

Kelly smiled. It was charming, and she could imagine sitting at a steakhouse in a lovely dress, Arthur in a nice suit, but it was too expensive and formal for a first date. She knew herself. She was already daydreaming about marrying this man. She needed to slow down, and her post-orgasm clarity insisted she draw the hard line at casual. This would be a casual relationship. Otherwise, her grades would slip, her career would go out the window, and she’d never hear the end of it.

She sighed.

Kelly: I like your style, but it’s too fancy for a first date.

Kelly: How about we go to that burger place off campus? They have gluten-free options, and their salads are surprisingly good.

Arthur (Lori’s): Perfect. 7 on Friday?

Kelly: Perfect. Can’t wait.

Kelly sighed. That was another hurdle to overcome. She looked at her phone contact for Arthur. The parenthetical name had been a joke at the time. She’d asked for Arthur’s number during freshman year when they were trading gym tips. She’d surprised him with the request, but he’d given her his number.

Lori, however, her freshman-year roommate, liked him. She declared dibs, and Kelly changed the contact info.

At the time, Kelly wasn’t convinced she liked guys that way. She’d eventually come to terms with her bisexuality, but at the time, she’d believed she was gay. Arthur was cute, but with Lori interested in him and her own contemplations over sexuality, Kelly’s sexual interest in him ended there.

Lori, however, had fucked that up.

She checked her last phone conversation with Lori. They’d texted last June. Kelly tried not to be angry with Lori about breaking Arthur’s heart, but she was. She hoped Lori was doing okay but didn’t want to text her and start a conversation. They hadn’t talked in months, and Lori wasn’t here anymore. She’d left. It was perfectly acceptable to date Arthur.

Kelly changed the contact in her phone from “Arthur (Lori’s)” to “Arthur (Handsome)” and saved the info.

Reading some of the old filler pieces and really enjoying them.

Flamethrow

Looking forward to it, I can imagine her having the perfect dinner set when Authur gets home using Selen as a maid or a pet. Great to see her grow. Not to mention how she deals with Lynn.
