Added 2024-10-29 16:13:58 +0000 UTCEffective November 2024, Apple will be charging a 30% fee for subscribing to Patreon. If you downloaded the Patreon app via the iOS store or Apple Store, and you pay monthly memberships through that app, Apple will be taking a 30% cut out of every monthly payment. In response, most creators will be increasing their memberships to cover this new cost. This is not just for adult-oriented content, but all memberships on Patreon.
If you currently subscribe and pay your monthly subscriptions through the Patreon App on an iPhone, I believe you are grandfathered in and won't see a 30% upcharge. However, to prevent possible confusion, please consider canceling and renewing via the Patreon website in a non-Apple browser. Patreon is automatically increasing memberships for new members on the iPhone app by 30% to cover Apple's monopolistic fees, unless creators opt out and cover the costs themselves. That won't be me.
