I agree with you, Gianmarco. Some people just praise innovation for the sake of it, even if it's not effective. It's the same with books, as you said. Just because someone breaks rules in the art form doesn't make it good or interesting. Sometimes it's just a gimmick and people do it because they know it'll make them stand out. And it's been so annoying to see this play out on social media because now everyone is trying to rebrand things that already existed or coin their own names for things so they can take credit for it. Or they'll post a recipe and change two things and act like they discovered fire. I don't see how this actually serves art to praise originality over quality. Quality should be the minimum standard. This was a great episode and it was cool to hear Jesse's perspective, too.
