this one is definitely in my top 3 favorite marvel films. i absolutely love it. made me cry like a baby in the movie theatre the first time i saw it.

2024-11-21 19:42:18 +0000 UTCI didn't (and don't) consider myself to be racist, but when I first saw this very positive image of a black African civilization I was surprised to find that I was surprised by it. I had never seen such a positive representation, and I hadn't noticed that I hadn't. This movie - I am sure - is a positive force for good in the world. Bravo Marvel! (I had seen Wikanda represented in the comics as a child, back when Black Panther first appeared in the Avengers comics - but somehow it didn't have the impact on me that this film did.)
