[Read Me]How This is Going to Work

Hello! I am setting this page up first and foremost to give people who are already familiar with my work a way to support an author/artist. So here it is. This will be a platform for me to provide high quality image data of past works, as well as a way to share new projects. For those who are not familiar with what I do, I draw adult manga in Japan. By that nature, most works I will be displaying will Not be Safe for Work...or for any environment involving minors. Being that I am based in Japan, all illustrations and manga will be censored according to Japanese Law. Any alterations of high quality working files (.PSD etc.) to remove censoring is discouraged. I will be translating all my new doujinshi myself. If this turns out to be too much work, I will hire a translator to translate and typeset for me. At the moment, the only manga I will be showcasing here will be self-published doujin work. This means no manga from commercial monthly magazines at the moment. I will try to speak with my publishers and see if I can also provide translated versions of my magazine manga as well, but that will take some time, so please bear with me. Hard copies of books and other projects will take some time to sort out. At the moment, hard copies are only available at a high donation rate. This is mainly due to cost prohibitions and my unfamiliarity with the legality of sending my work overseas. It will take time to streamline, so I am afraid will not be changing very soon. Thank you, and I hope I will be able to provide interesting and entertaining works for your pleasure.

Hello Shindol, I am a fan of your work, mostly the TSF series, it was my first doujin ever and remains to this day my favorite, it is a shame that you cannot send your works over seas, but if it is at all possible, the better luck to you!

Great, I look forward to meeting you sometime at a convention. Also, I have no problem with picking up your works through the usual channels in Japan, but there doesn't seem to be a tier where I can get working files for your manga but not get hard copies of anything. Also, if I am supporting you at a tier that includes hard copies, do I still get sent a hard copy if I live in Japan, or do I need to go to the store to pick up a copy? Thanks!

Amakase

thanks for your support! If you have any suggestions for artists on here that specialize in adult oriented stuff, I would love to hear them. I wish there was a browsing feature on this site.

ShindoL

Thank you for creating a Patreon account. I always wanted to support you and other hentai manga artists but being in the US made it difficult. Now I can throw money at you to create awesome porn. XD And please check out some of the other artists on here. They do some pretty cool work.

If you actually live in Japan, it would be easier for both parties if you just get hard copies through the usual channels. (doujin shops, book stores, conventions) And I would be happy to have a chat at a convention. Just walk up to the booth and ask if ShindoL is around. Might be a little crowded early on, but if you drop by in the afternoon I should be able to chat a bit.

ShindoL

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to support you like this! I was wondering two things: Might you consider a lower donation rate for patrons living in Japan since I'm guessing it would cost less to ship items? Also, any tips if we want to try and say hi at a dojin convention?

Amakase

That was actually a book I wanted to release last year, but couldn't. I am working on that now. Details will come.

ShindoL

this is kind of a stupid question but where does that danganronpa picture come from

LordBabble

Yeah, I do forget about how some countries view cartoon sex. I will add a release page with every translated manga. Thanks for the suggestion.

ShindoL

You're probably aware of this, but Japan is basically a giant ball of exceptions when it comes to porn laws. As a result, it would be incredibly helpful to us in other countries if you added a quick "All characters 18 or older" page in the front of your works. It keeps everyone out of trouble. Thanks!

Cool. Also if I had known that you are an American and I Wouldnt have to go through awkward Japanese, I would have visited your booth in the last Natsu-comi. Love your girls. Some of your story idea though....But i get that it has market. がんばるよ~

Hello! Yeah, translation is an entirely different skill from writing, so it's challenging. My stories are written with the Japanese language and culture in mind, so sometimes that doesn't work too well in English. There is often a lot of nuance that gets lost in translation. Therefore it would definitely be easier to maintain the same quality of story if you start off creating a story in English rather than to translate from Japanese to English, or vice versa.

ShindoL

Hi ShinDoL. Great job so far on your works. A question though - is it harder to have the doujin made with the english mindset or translating it from japanese to english?
