Look imma be real. I’m not super happy with how these came out. Initially we wanted to utilize this gorgeous sheer dress (designer Michelle Hebert) and amazing make up (artist Cat Calico) behind a pane of glass with cascading droplets of water upon it to create a dreamy, icy, blue-toned editorial look.

Unfortunately on the shoot day, we couldn’t get the glass/water mechanism to work; so we ended up throwing this cloth backdrop down in the yard & doing these in their stead. Bless photographer Kevy Yang, we all tried to bring the vision together. Ultimately these felt so alien and incoherent to me that I scrapped the whole thing.

As much as “weird boner” is a genre I love to tackle (refer to Creepy Sexy Anglar Fish photos Cat & I did once upon a time for reference), this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.

Kevy posted a few of his favorite selects on his IG, but the vast majority of these photos never saw the light of day ~until now~
