I’ve struggled on and off with alcohol and drug abuse since I was a teenager, but never classified what I had as a problem because I’m high-functioning. I used to finish my math homework drunk (which I told myself was quirky & cute!), schedule my black outs (which I deemed “responsibly relaxing”) and prided myself on the reputation I got as Party Anna - the one who gets fucked up beyond belief & is crying in a closet by the end of the night reading poetry.
Intervention is about finally looking in the mirror and seeing yourself for what you are... and deciding you have the strength to change. Also it’s a bop so pre-save, pls & thank you
