I disagree, I think every season has mid and peak. Last summer was Bleach, JJK, BSD, MT and a janky Zom100 release. Summer 2022 was Made in Abyss, Call of the Night, Overlord, COTE, LycoReco, DanMachi and a janky Isekai Ojisan release. Summer 2021 was Slime, Kobayashis Dragon Maid, Tsukimichi, and personally loved Uramichi Oniisan and Dungeon of Black Company. BUT, again, plenty of mid/trash anime during all those seasons too
