In my opinion, Frieren is one of the rare shows that will become one you introduce to someone watching anime for the first time. Attack on Titan was the safest bet for years but this is joining the list for sure

I don't even care... that 'Elf walks into a bar' joke got me. It was simple, stupid, and poorly executed. All of my weaknesses in jokes. I loved it.

One factor that i just realized is that Serie talking about how in a thousand years humans will be taking advantage of magic and that was how long it was after Flamme's death and she told Frieren to stay away from any fame until she was ready to defeat the Demon Lord like she knew by then that she would be well trained and ready for the height of humanities magic to succeed.

She immediately dismisses Flamme as a failure then goes on a five minute monologue talking about her dreams, her favorite spells, and how much the student she "trained on a whim" has changed the world of magic forever. Yeah, she's not proud of Flamme at all.

Yeah she's quite obviously on copium, she literally said "I trained her on a whim" at least twice, instead of once

So Fern was trained to kill Frieren.

Serie was smiling. In reality she's just a massive tsundere. Remember how she said it could take an elf 1000 years to make a decision? Well, what did she do 1000 years after Flamme's death? Maybe start a little mage association to guide humanity in magic?

It's great that Frieren isn't using Zoltraak in all the flashbacks, because she didn't knew how to cast it yet.
