Exciting scene! Interesting how flipping the image completely changes the dynamic. The way you have it, I thought they were ambushing the reptile; only when I saw the flipped way, did i realize they are defending their room against him. Maybe I parse them left-to-right as "actor; subject"? I wonder if regular right-to-left readers get a different feeling of dynamics from them. The lizard's gun looked at first glance like it was firing through the wall, but then I realized what I thought was a gun-blast was a suppressor lining up with the gap between elbow and dado rail on the wall. Color will make that a lot clearer ;)
