Her boss was being cold and unfair, not just professionally, but personally, because of her friend . And on top of that, she ran into that girl who had been harassing Duan Jiaxu. You could tell it was a heavy day for her, but what struck me most was that she didn’t bring any of it up when they sat together by the riverside. That scene… it was quiet, but it said everything. Zhang Zhi just sat there, soft and thoughtful, and then she handed him her card. That gesture alone, I don’t know, it broke me a little. It was her way of saying, I’m thinking about our future, even when the present feels heavy. She didn’t talk about how hard her day had been. She talked about saving money, living together, building something with him. It was such a tender, selfless moment. The way they care for each other feels so pure. He’s her safe place, and she’s his light. You could see it in their eyes, in the silences between them. And I noticed you both got teary-eyed too! that quiet kind of love, the kind that shows up without needing to say much… it’s beautiful.
