That is usually my preference as well since it is a more literal translation but with this show, I found it better to watch with the English subs because they use a lot of old korean sayings, poetic phrases and analogies etc that will confuse ya’ll since it doesnt translate well into english literally but the English subs make it easier to follow what they mean

She still would accept the children of her husband but not for Ae-sun who does not have any relation with her husband. Especially, when they did not have money and barely making money for her future own child as well. Also it seems like the second wife is the one who is making more money , not the lazy husband. The tuition fee agreement was between Ae-Sun and her step-dad, second wife did not even know. Also she would think Ae-Sun has the family from her father side , so Ae-Sun can go there and she just did not know that family was also that broke. That’s our human’s selfish nature tho

The time jumps kind of look like those old pictures we used to take so it's very nostalgic and I thought was a nice touch lol. But yes this show is so good! I cried every episode, I just finished the finale and had no tears left. I love IU and bogum together, i'm happy you guys pause and talk about it to get on the same page :) and yes it's called when life gives you tangerines bc they are in jeju :)

2025-04-06 04:59:02 +0000 UTCThere will be a lot of time jumps, so this part can be confusing; however, as the episodes progress, it will be less confusing since you will be familiar with all the characters. I personally think the regular Eng sub is better than the English (cc), but the cc version actually seems to provide who is talking so I don't know what would be better for you guys. There is a lot of narration in this drama btw. Top kdrama of all time for me now!
