Gonna repost a comment I used on RE:animated because I want to get your opinion on it too. If you think about it, this was the best on the job training exercise all of those spies could ask for. They all got a front row seat to watch and go up against the best spy in the business. Some things you can only learn by watching and doing. Great on the job training to justify the costs of the 'Pamper my Daughter' mission.

The show's enjoyment is based on knowing different perspectives, Loid as spy, Yor as assassin and Anya with mind-reading ability. By adding more perspectives can therefore enrich the story: how other agents look up to Loid, how Mr. Elegant think about Loid's family...etc

2022-05-08 10:21:43 +0000 UTCBoy are you going to be disappointed in this series as a whole. There are so many side stories in the manga that they do. In fact there are multiple side arcs. My advice is if you don't like this series because of that, then drop it and move on to another series.

2022-05-07 23:00:10 +0000 UTC“Side story” 🤷♂️ it didn’t progress the main plot, but it did show us the fact that the agency will go to great lengths for Loyd. It didn’t progress the story too much but it was a fun side episode to maybe give us a glimpse at a Loyd v. Spies or Loyd v. Yor fight down the line. I just see positive with this episode and honestly I don’t expect the series to progress the main story at a break neck speed anyway.

2022-05-07 21:34:52 +0000 UTCThis was great, loved how they were able to expand on a single chapter in the manga and make a great animation from it. I also love the fact that they need to keep Yor drunk during the whole thing in order to avoid the plot hole of having to explain the how or why of this bondman larp. You may also think that Loid would question Yor's combat skills more, but I think the drunk aspect also cover any major issues.
