I also think in this drama there are a lot of heavy subjects and how mentally it can affect them I suggest to pay close attention to the drama and pause it if you want to add something, because every scene is important ^^, I'm excited to rewatch with you guys!

If you liked these heavy themes, I will once again recommend "Mask Girl". It's not like DP at all, it's a crazy style but has some heavy storylines and themes, but is also super fun.

2024-11-04 02:37:47 +0000 UTCI look forward to watching this tonight. It’ll be interesting to see if you guys like it. I remember worrying about RM when he said he was watching it before going in. I remember it being very intense. I saw it even before Jin went in, heard Koreans who served ten years ago say it wasn’t exaggerated, then say they heard things were getting better because of the spotlight THIS show put on the problem of bullying in the military. It seems like maybe it wasn’t soon enough for GDragon or Taemin, but I think things had improved some by the time Jin was there. Or else he just charmed everyone. Ngl, DP made me worry more for the members. I hope it’s true for all of them that the military tried to clean up its image after the show. I’m glad you guys are watching it because I don’t think I could rewatch by myself.

2024-11-03 19:55:24 +0000 UTCi’m really excited to rewatch this with you guys. the cast and story is great, and i think you’ll enjoy it!! unfortunately though, a lot of the dark themes of this show are prevalent in the military to this day (maybe not as ramped up). this show definitely highlights those extreme cases. but i’ve seen a lot of comments and videos of how korean men can definitely relate to this show. edit: d.p stands for “deserter pursuit.” they’re looking for people who enlisted but then escaped the military.
