I think San is from Gwanju and had gone to the same elementary school as Hobi. There is a video of Ateez visiting Gwanju and talking about jhope.

I saw Ateez at KCON LA when I went to go see Enha in '22 and San pinned me down with that incredible look when he and HongJoong were doing an interveiw behind me. San is a major fisherman when it comes to catching new atiny lol!!!
