I'm late to the comments but yeah, a lot of Korean parents try to get apartments for their kids as wedding gifts because the key cost (essentially the deposit) is very expensive and so most people live at home until they're married unless of course they're rich.

Perfect timing cuz I was gonna watch this on my own and then you guys uploaded a reaction so I'm just gonna watch with you guys. This is a crazy start to a series but I'm not really liking how they do the transitions. It's not a clear divide on the timeliness for me and it takes me a bit to understand where he's at. Hopefully that'll get better but other than that, I'm really intrigued by the plot

I was curious too about working after military service. I found out that apparently Korea has laws that make sure that once they leave military service, they have an opportunity to be rehired at their old company in a similar position. However I am sure it hard to adapt for the men coming back, so most want to enlist before college or a career.

In friendcation, Wooshik said that he didn’t want to be seen as cute. He wanted to break that image. Dude, this and Parasite are about 180 degrees away from cute. I’m definitely interested to see where this show goes and enjoy following his career.

the reason why Jang Nangam said he can sympathize with Lee Tang regarding their names: Jang Nangam in korean literally translates to "Toy" (thats is why he said he became a police officer to be taken serious) and about Lee Tang name, the "Tang" is also a sound effect used in korean comics etc to describe a gun shot. So thats why both of their names are considered unusual by others. The joke about their names sparks up quite often throughout the drama, so I thought it might be good to understand the joke behind that^^ their names also tie in with the characters they represent. It kind of resembles something like cat and mouse play, in which case Tang is the cat (gun) and Nangam is the mouse (toy), also unexpected as you would expect otherwise from their roles.

There are a few transitions to flashbacks like the girl. He said he cheated on his gf with that girl and was looking for the promise ring (couple ring). He would’ve been caught by his gf if he lost it but he didn’t, it’s more to show that he doesn’t get caught
