Can't wait for the next episode!

Just wondering if youll be doing Gen V as well since the shows are kinda interconnected after season 3

God the whole time they were in the whale I just wanted them to put the poor thing out of it's misery. Had to keep telling myself it wasn't real. 😭 It seems like Stormfront understood that being part of the seven would be an outlet for her sadism. She's shielded from any legal consequence and even celebrated for it.

Good call on not trusting Stormfront since the beginning. They laid the "I'm the cool alternative girl who doesn't work within the system" act on really thick, but she always seemed off. They kinda presented her earlier as Faith from Buffy in a cape, who also went the villain route but not racistly so lol. I personally would say she is in fact worse than Homelander. Both murderous psychopaths who abuse their power, but I think the racism takes her over-the-top. Homelander will definitely use racism to fuel up his base (IE "they fuckin' hate Muslims"), but you can tell Stormfront is a true-blue believer in how she treats POC specifically (as opposed to Homelander just looking down on all humans, and killing supes if it suits him). Also notice the disdain on her face when she addresses the terrified Black people before destroying the building in pursuit of one person. I feel like Homelander's speech about the Seven being in this together was at least partially heartfelt, to the point that he probably believes it himself. I think he's probably the loneliest person in the whole Boys universe, and wants there to be a connection between him and the other supes (also when it suits him). To some extent he reminds me of Klaus in the early seasons of TO, wanting to have his cake and eat it too in regard to terrorizing his own "family" but still insisting there's some inherent love between them. The Seven goes along with it because they have no other option and are afraid of him, but Maeve and Annie would take him out if they could, and A-Train feels like he needs this life because of where he came from. Noir is kind of an unknowable at this point of the show. I also like A-Train's line about money and people only saying it's not important if they've always had it. It's humanizing to a character who's overall a pretty despicable person. Him being motivated by wanting to be a rich and famous superhero seems pretty shallow, but less so when you're reminded how humble his beginnings are. I think it's nice that they put a little respect on fish-telepathy and water powers because they're usually regarded as a joke. Deep's attack on the Boys was pretty cool visually right up until Butcher killed that whale lol. In true fashion of this show, they managed to make me feel bad for him when Homelander called his gills disgusting now that we know it's his biggest insecurity. I think Starlight was going to do it, but also delay it as long as humanly possible, hoping for someone or something to intervene. I think under the circumstances of Homelander killing both of them if she doesn't, it's understandable and Hughie seemed to accept it. Hughie seems to crave the validation of a paternal male figure especially since his own dad said he doesn't have the "fight" in him, and Butcher just isn't cut out to be Supportive Guy to a younger man, as opposed to MM who IS a really good fatherly man, but sadly that isn't who Hughie has attached those feelings to.
