Whenever they sing that duet together, I just keep thinking of Aladdin A Whole New World. I mean the sound and even the lyrics sound similar. Not to take away from the voice actors because they killed that song they sound great together, but it just reminds me of that ha-ha

2025-10-24 18:10:37 +0000 UTCMy favourite Disney film; the animation, story/dialogue/characters, songs and score are wonderful. I love Rapunzel and Eugene's relationship, especially how it develops as both characters grow. I like how they demonstrate the stark difference between Eugene and Mother Gothel's intent - Gothel always directs her "love and affection" towards Rap's hair because that's her priority. In contrast, Eugene always brushes her hair out of the way, because her hair is not why he cares about her. For me, Mother Gothel is such an unnerving villain because her behaviour is something you're likely to encounter in real life. There are a few shorts and 3 seasons of a TV show that explore more of the lore regarding the sun drop flower and its power and Rapunzel and Eugene's relationship. The original voice actors reprised their roles, too. It's a good watch and might be worth adding in to the schedule when a space frees up, episodes aren't overly long too.

Also, like others have commented, I'm amazed you haven't seen any Disney classics besides The Little Mermaid. They're definitely worth watching (at least some of them, since there are many). Some are masterpieces. Maybe add Disney classics to the movie series pool? Or something like that? π Anyway... perfect as always, I love it.

2025-10-23 16:59:16 +0000 UTCThere's a sequel short film and a show of tangled where it took 3 seasons for Rapunzel and Eugene to get engaged so in total it took around 3 years for them to get married. I'd give it a watch because it's good.
