2025-08-30 12:38:01 +0000 UTCI feel like you're reaching the point of just enjoying the ride of how crazy Homelander is and how comically evil he can be sometimes. I feel like he definitely craves validation and that's why he's so stuck on Maeve who clearly does not like him. Definitely has some lonely manbaby tendencies for Madelyn to use to take some control back. Also all that stuff about using an "attack on America" to rile up Islamophobic sentiment for something else brings me back to post 9/11 and the Iraq war. The show is highly political and takes its cues from a lot of places. I agree that Hughie was both lying and telling the truth. Everything he's doing really does come down to Robin and doing what he thinks he has to for her, but he IS manipulating Annie because of it. Starlight seems to be the only "real" superhero. I know what she said isn't funny but I do have the same reaction to Deep's reaction, especially when he switched the channel to watch the show and forget about the other bad things in his life lol. To answer your question about Vought, they pretty much sponsor every famous supe, and the Seven are the elite of the elite that are considered the ultimate goal of a superhero in this world to be a part of.
