Closer to you is so sensual and. But haunting at some parts, and then fresh house vibes in others lol hope he does all or at least most of his songs at his showcase coming up!!!

Jungkook said he wanted to perform on as many stages as possible.. but also you have to remember that jungkook is much more of a visual creative artist… like of course he can write music and produce music… but his passion has always been visual arts.. ya know gcfs … him filming , producing and editing… directing … he LOVES to draw and even talked about how he might have pursued that if it wasn’t for music… and I know everyone holds writing music at such a high pedestal… but it’s just not something that comes naturally to him… think about just him in general he’s an observer. He’s fine being in a room listening to a conversation and maybe speaking up every once in awhile.. but he’s generally listening… and even like when he’s interviewed and is asked something fairly simple for most to answer with an appropriate answer even if it’s not fully true. For example when he was asked what is in his backpack.. most ppl would say a couple things and move on bc it’s not super important to say everything exactly… but he stopped and thought pretty hard and started answering but still thinking hard to say everything he had bc he’s an honest person… but he’s also a very thorough person. He wants to give a perfectly true answer… even when it’s not necessary… but you’ll notice he doesn’t like to bs answers either… like “what is your favorite song to cook to” or something, most ppl toss out an answer bc it doesn’t matter again… but if he doesn’t have one.. he won’t bs it… he will literally say he doesn’t know lol bc he doesn’t… he says “I don’t know , I’m not sure” pretty often bc of this. The dude is a genius so not saying he can’t answer… it’s just how his mind works. He has even talked about how when he hears music… he starts kinda drawing a mental picture of what he thinks the song would look like..I’ve never heard anybody say that before him. Or even when he talks about his music.. why he likes certain songs or what made him choose a certain song for a single… and for both seven and standing next to you… he said he instantly saw himself performing them in his mind….. the sound he enjoys of course… but music creates images for him bc it’s his passion. It’s why I hate ppl trying to hate on him for not writing the songs for his album… even though it’s fully in English and he made this full album and all the videos in like 6 months!!! That’s insane… but my point is that this kind of video is 100% him bc it was all about creating environments and vibes, colors and visuals that completely bring the music to life in a way that’s just as much about the visuals as it is the songs… it’s his passion in art. Another example is his vogue cover shoots and him being the creative director for all of the shoots… and what does he choose to do? Take different eras of music and use them for the themes of the covers lol literally bringing the era of music to life visually….. it’s completely authentic to who he is and who he has always been. I have just as much respect for him and what he does w stuff like this as I do for anything BTS write themselves. It’s just sad that it’s become something to use against some members trying to say that they’re not true artists if they don’t write all their music…. It’s just so ignorant and dismissive to the beauty the others create with their own mediums as well. I loved this audacy performance for that exact reason… it felt so true to jungkook !
