Chandler and Ross are college friends. They were roomates in college, so they have a bit more of a history. Joey came into the picture when he became roomates with Chandler but because they are roomates currently, I think they may be a bit closer currently than Chandler and Ross. Monica is a bit younger than Ross. She was in high school for a while when Ross was in college. Monica met Chandler in high school through Ross. Monica and Rachel were high school/childhood friends, so they have a long history together. Through Monica, Rachel also knew Ross and Chandler. Ross has known Rachel from childhood through Monica, so he has had a longstanding crush on her since they were kids. Phoebe came into the group when she became roomates with Monica however, she moved out prior to the pilot. Phoebe met Rachel for the first time in the pilot but everyone else in the group knew Rachel already through Monica. I would say that Monica is the glue of the group as a lot of the connections formed through her. She is for sure the "mom" :)

2025-03-04 05:24:56 +0000 UTCThe coma story maybe reminded you a movie with Sandra Bullock - While you were sleeping. Its from 1995, so almos as old as a Friends show.

2025-03-03 19:56:50 +0000 UTCI think if one has to be exhausted then it better be because of laughing. Friends as a series has explored many themes that might be considered taboo and I think Ross kissing Ms.Bing was one of those things. It wasn't okay at all, but it happend and the only thing one can do afterwards is acknowledge that it was wrong and shouldn't happen again. I love Joey-Chandler bromance! They're just too adorable as a duo. Infact, all the friends share such great equations with each other that they all make my heart warm. I am so proud of Rachel and Phoebe for handling things gracefully and believing in each other. I don't find it surprising that Rachel believed in Phoebe because there is no reason not to. Monica is competitive and loves to win so she enjoys games and everything but for others, it becomes not so fun hence they kick her out😂 I know you are keen on knowing their past and how all of them met each other, just hang-in there and you will find out.

2025-01-28 11:36:24 +0000 UTCI really don't know why Friends gets so much hate these days. I think it's a combination of it being "cool" to put down what used to be popular and the fact that some of its comedy is more off-color in these oh-so-sensitive modern times. I find it pretty reliably hilarious. :D

2025-01-13 07:29:17 +0000 UTCGreat reaction Sofie! Please continue with them. 🥺💞 I loved the Rachel and Phoebe scene and the fact that Rachel believed in her. Also, it was bad what Ross did. But I'm glad that at least Ross and Chandler put their friendship over with and made the terms with it somehow. Also, Monica being extremely competitive is very funny.

2025-01-12 22:22:30 +0000 UTCI really appreciate how honest and real Phoebe and Rachel’s conversation about Paulo was. And the fact that Rachel believed her, because there was no reason not to. A milestone for their friendship, for sure. The bromance between Joey and Chandler is one of my favorite things. 😆🥹 And yes, over time we do find out how long everyone has known each other. Just for reference, Huey Lewis is the lead singer of the band Huey Lewis and the News. In pop culture known for the title song in Back to the Future (a trilogy which would be great to see your reactions to one day!). Once again, absolutely loving watching these with you and can’t wait for more!

2025-01-12 10:33:06 +0000 UTCRoss was drunk and vulnerable... the mum knew better. Meanwhile two women fawning over a guy in a coma they don't know. Shaving him and changing his clothes. Personally I don't really care because it's a comedy - so I'm laughing at both of these situations. They are hilarious. But looking at it from a serious point of view, judging the man but not the women. That's a double standard.

2025-01-12 08:08:55 +0000 UTCThe movie you're thinking of about a guy in a coma is "While You Were Sleeping"

2025-01-12 07:52:31 +0000 UTCThe coma guy was one of those comedic things that only works as a metaphor for a relationship and not literally. But I could see why someone would be disturbed, regardless of genders. With Ross, you also have the fact that he wanted to normalise the kiss in the morning, calling Chandler's mom sexy when he was completely sober, suggesting to Joey it wasn't such an unappropriate thing it happened and then suggesting it wasn't that bad to Chandler too, things like that.

2025-01-12 07:49:55 +0000 UTCIt always confuses me that so many reactors are angry at Ross for not diving out of the way when Chandler's mom kissed him, even though he was so drunk he could barely stand, but they're completely fine with Monica changing the clothes of a stranger who's in a coma. That's super creepy and a million times worse than what Ross did in the same episode, in my humble opinion. I also suspect it's a bit of a gender thing. Imagine if two guys whistled at a hot girl, causing her to have an accident, and then spent so much time looking at her in a coma and changing her clothes. All hell would break loose. It's sad that such double standards still exist.
