2025-02-04 07:07:59 +0000 UTCThe Prestige has a lot of twists and It was fun watching you put the pieces of the puzzle together. One thing I noticed that other people haven't pointed out yet: Both men died in the same way their wives did. Angier's wife died by drowning, and Angier died by drowning every night as part of his act. Borden's wife died by hanging, and he was hung when they executed him.

At the beginning when Angier is reading Borden’s diary, it reads, "We were two young men at the start of a great career. Two young men devoted to an illusion. Two young men who never intended to hurt anyone." This could initially be interpreted as Borden talking about himself and Angier, but once you know the ending, it’s clear that he was really talking about himself and his brother. This and so many other details are what make this movie one of my faves!

2024-10-22 17:01:23 +0000 UTCOh wait, the black screen should be just on the movie footage and not all over me. I’m not sure how to fix it now but I’ll be careful next time. Ok, I checked and I can fix it, It's gonna be updated when it's done.

2024-10-22 11:33:59 +0000 UTCAmazing reaction, Sofie, you're one of the few reactors that are both very emotional and very smart. 😊 This is my favourite movie ever, I've seen it so many times and it gets better with every rewatch. I notice some new details every time I watch it again. It's so much fun trying to find out which of the Borden twins is in which scene, for example. The entire movie is even better when you know what's going to happen and you see certain things in a new light. I'm genuinely shocked that you didn't recognize Christian Bale (Alfred Borden) and Scarlett Johansson (Olivia), probably the two most famous actors of their generation. Then again, I would probably be equally bad at recognizing singers, for example, so I'm not judging. 😂 Speaking of actors, Robert Angier's double was also played by Hugh Jackman, but with fake teeth and fake earlobes, because it would have been unrealistic if the double looked 100 % the same. Also, Nikola Tesla was played by the legendary singer and actor David Bowie. Nikola Tesla is the only character in the movie who was a real person. (Except of course for Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb, but we never see him in this movie.) Tesla was one of the greatest inventors ever, and his feud with Edison is legendary. Many people think Tesla contributed a lot more to the invention of the lightbulb than Edison did. Tesla was scientifically smarter than Edison, but Edison was the better businessman and knew better how to deal with people.

2024-10-22 03:56:23 +0000 UTCEverytime you pause the movie to talk. The screen turns black but we still hear your voice and this also happeneds in the lord of the rings. I'm not sure if you ment to do it. I just wanted to let you know.

2024-10-22 03:09:22 +0000 UTCDeadpool & Wolverine is a great movie but it is also filled with references that require a lot of context from other movies, so it's probably one to watch after you've seen a lot of other stuff.
