My Id Gangnam Beauty Ep 16

This was my first try of your kdrama watch-along/reactions and it was great! Glad you liked it too. I enjoyed listening to your insights and guesses of what may happen. It's been years since I watched MIIGB and you made me remember why I like it (despite a number of people having negative feedbacks about it). They showed and tackled a lot of relationships, social issues and norms, beauty standards, insecurities and prejudices among sexes and ages. It was more than a simple romcom to me. They went over the basic "how will my life change after getting a full plastic surgery". I just don't find this drama cringe. It may not be produced like a masterpiece but I don't think its intention was to be seen as one. It's a webtoon live action afterall. The main characters were college freshmen so it was natural that they are still acting young. And I think all the actors did well (maybe Cha Eunwoo was kinda stiff for me back then but his character calls for it so I found it okay). This was where I first saw Park Yoona and fell for her. I was excited to see her in True Beauty as Kang Soojin (and got heartbroken with how her character turned out๐Ÿฅบ) Since I already know this drama, I never expect to be affected. Well, the final confrontation bet. Mirae and Sua was still emotional. It was intense. But just so you know, the part where it struck me the most and made me tear up was your instant "I thought so too" when Kyeong Seok said that seeing his parents, he thought he wouldn't be able to love... That's just hit me. I don't know much about you but I want to tell you I am happy for you. Btw, the drinking tradition in Korea is strong. The way they started in the university with that trip together, drinking and having games, it happens. I don't know if it's still like that now after the pandemic hits but yeah. College freshmen in average is at 19-20 y/o (korean age) and they're allowed and expected to drink... The festival with booths and all is real too. A lot of Asian countries have that esp. on foundation anniversary of the university. Or if there's a departmental-wide celebration.
