2023-08-18 11:33:34 +0000 UTC-kun is an honorific term used to address young males. It's used to informally address someone the same age or younger than you. You'll hear a lot of other honorific terms like -san: used with someone older, or someone you have a neutral or professional relationship with -chan: for close friends or someone you find endearing, commonly used to address young females too -sama: less used irl but usually for professional setting or towards someone of higher rank; sometimes anime characters will address someone as -sama sarcastically This is just what I've picked up from watching a ton of anime tho so I would suggest doing a quick google search to get a general idea from people who speak Japanese
