I believe there was Light, L (standing and sitting in chair versions) and Ryuk. Anyways now you've met Misa. She's interesting and it definitely throws a loop for the plot. I'm curious what you guys will think of stuff that happens later on.

2022-12-24 09:23:54 +0000 UTCL is a very logical and rational thinker so hearing the word "shinigami" and how something like that can actually exist has NEVER crossed his mind throughout this entire investigation. I think anyone would be terrified to hear that death gods were real. Light quickly tried to say that "shinigami" is a possible codeword for killing power between the two kiras because death gods are not real and L of course wants to believe him, but you can tell he's still processing what he just heard and will likely keep the idea in the back of his head. To answer your question, gelus used his death note to kill the man who was destined to kill misa which in return.. killed gelus leaving his death note behind. Rem took the death note and brought it to the human world and gave it to misa because he believed she was meant to have it.
