I know someone told you that there isn't romantic relationship between Hina and Dongmae, but I think that person misunderstood. There definitely is love between them, more than just friendship. On Hina's side it's obvious since she herself said it. I think Dongmae did love her too, but he never got to realize it, because he was always occupied by Aesin's well being.

And everything in drama is not fully expressed. Reality was worse. japan killed a lot of ppl in Joseon. They literally violated ppl in joseon. This drama is showing early preiod of invasion. Things are going worse in few years later. Lots of ppl are dragged to prison and they were tortured everyday. Also young girls were dragged to become comfort women. japan tried to cut everybody's hair and they forced to use japanese language. ppl were caught by japanese police when they use korean. And ppl were forced to change name like japanese. They also took royal family members to japan and also killed her majesty and raped her. The sword that used to kill her majesty is still displayed in japan. And there's small hill made by human's nose and ears. those nose and ears were belong to joseon ppl. japan cut them off and displayed them. There are a lot of things that they did wrong to korea but still they are denying histroy.

The author of Mr. Sunshine wrote the script after seeing that pictures of the righteous army. She finished the script of Mr. Sunshine and wrote Descendants of the Sun. I think you know why the title is Descendants of the Sun. There are often parts where Yu Jin-choi's lines overlap with Yoo Si-jin's lines. Also in Mr. Sunshine, Song Young's ambassador (talking about Ae-shin's mother and father), "The two will meet and harm in a better world." Like this, they met in the descendants of the sun. It was so fun to watch my favorite drama together. I'll be waiting for the next drama reaction.😊💜
