I often felt the same way as Josh. I'm Korean, and I think it's very similar to the feelings I get when I see Korean actors acting in Korean in American dramas and movies. Strictly speaking, I was Korean-American, so I hated her accent and way of speaking because it was awkward. I keep thinking that his acting is not Korean. At the same time, I even think that I am a person who is really bad at acting.

2022-11-16 00:39:07 +0000 UTCwanted to comment about the non-korean actors/actresses. from what I know, most of the 'english-speaking american actors' aren't actually american. a lot are european, english not being their first language. and most of them haven't had much acting experience prior either, might be the reason why most are always so awkward, and as most korean directors aren't fully fluent in english as well, they just let it slide most of the time it seems like.
