First of all I was so freaking surprised that Namjoon mention that song to Pharrel and I loved Pharrel's reaction lol! He was so shocked lol!!! I love that Joon is getting guidance from an artist, who I feel is doing things in a healthy way too. And the respect and admiration that Pharrel has for Joon, BTS, and Army is so cool. Def one of my favorite interviews. Also did this man talk to army before this interview or what? Like he seems very in the know. Like army level in the know.

Can't wait to hear what kind of song BTS will have on Pharrells album and I'm also assuming he will be on namjoon's album. Also namjoon looked goooood 🥰😂

I haven't listened to all of it but there are many moments where pharrell comforts namjoon and his doubts which i'm truly grateful for. Joon mentioned: "What if i don't like music anymore? I love art but it's somewhat different. Sometimes i'm really afraid that music is not my first thing anymore or something like that" And Pharrell responds with: "That's temporary" and immediately joon relaxes and says: "Oh really? i'm relieved." All artists probably go through these motions and feelings and i'm sure hearing it from a huge influence and idol means a lot.

Like when namjoon mentioned all the songs he would listen to and how he even translated one of pharrell's songs into korean back in the day, he was impressed. He recognizes that bts are pure, humble and talented individuals who just want the best for their fans. I can feel the respect beaming off both of them. What pharrell said at the very end of this interview is exactly what namjoon needed to hear and it makes me happy that he has a strong, experienced role model figure who can guide him if he's ever feeling lost. And for pharrell to realize the power and impact that these boys have over millions of people and to be astounded by how well they managed to keep themselves sane, props to him for being able to see that. It truly is mind boggling at times. They had great questions for each other and i'm so curious to hear their collab. 💜

2022-11-02 02:46:23 +0000 UTCI loved that Pharrell was saying somethings that you could see Namjoon really considering and I think to some extent needed to hear from someone he respects. We all have seen Namjoon in not the lightest place for awhile. He really has been wrestling with how he wants to move forward. For Pharrell to say basically to stay open to everything, including music, and never say never, and Namjoon to take it so seriously was very reassuring to me.
