I don't know about yall, but i actually liked the ending... patched up pretty well

2022-09-30 21:35:28 +0000 UTCi personally enjoyed the ending but i agree with Cait, i hated seeing Pildo die. i was actually more sad that he died than if jiwoo would’ve died 😭 he was my guyyyy, but i think any extra scenes in the show would’ve been unnecessary unless they wanted to leave it on a cliffhanger

Because it explained almost everything and it also fits with the title of the drama ‘my name’ In the ending, the picture of herself and her dad in cop outfit is to show that both her dad and herself died as a cop. So glad she didn’t get arrested or anything after her killings. Maybe they closed the case or something after not being able to find her or her body so they assumed that she died somewhere. So now, she is living as a new identity with a new ‘name’. She will finally continue living a (hopefully) normal life like what her dad wanted for her. Thats why it ended like that, no other extra scenes. Since we actually got most of the important details: revenge, not arrested and new life with new name. This drama is a 10/10 for me Anyway i enjoyed watching this drama with you guys! Hopefully to see and discover more interesting dramas/movies/animes.

That might explain why she also put a picture of herself in the grave. The ending was probably trying to show that after everything she ends up getting rid of her prior identities and will probably move away and hide under another one. We can only hope this new identity brings her peace and happiness and she doesn't get found. LSS she faked her death to get away oof. idk just a theory i dont like the ending either so yeah

2022-07-25 08:06:38 +0000 UTCI actually like the ending personally. This is a type of genre that does not really give you a happy ending, if it did, that would have been too good to be true. I agree that the ending seemed unsatisfactory for you guys but it actually gave closure to the entire plot in the first place - to get revenge and kill the person who killed her dad. I am comparing this to other action-consipiracy sort of show. Example the movie “Salt” with Angelina Jolie, the ending left us open on what she”ll do next but you know she still aims for justice. I think Jiwoo will be on the same track. She may have left and start a new life far away.. I think showing how her life will turn out, like meeting a guy or getting married or let’s say they fast forward the time, would have diverted away from the genre or the concept of the series. That would have been too much. This is a type of show that does not give you a typical kdrama ending where everyone is happy and content, not this one. This is my opinion and others might disagree…. I liked this show very much. From the actors to the storyline. It is a 10/10 for me. Thank you still for reacting to this. I am looking forward to more of this. You should consider Flower of Evil and another genre-suspense/thriller - All of us are dead.

I think if you like this style of gritty mystery kdrama then I would recommend Flower Of Evil, Taxi Driver and Lawless Lawyer. All three have murder/ mystery that has twists over the series (Flower of Evil deals with is the hero a killer or not and has sooooo many twitsts in it, Taxi Driver is an underground taxi service whose members fight for justice and revenge for people in desperate situations, and Lawless Lawyer is two lawyers who both lost their parents as children and the mystery of their deaths is connected.
