It's not that Rengoku is no match to Akaza per se. It's just in general, a hashira who is a human is no match to a high level demon 1v1. Human limitations exists, and we need to accept that. It makes the hashira, or any other human for that matter, more admirable that knowing this, DS are still willing to go against an Upper Rank themselves, even if they are alone.
