GAME DIRECTIONS?

Okay so I keep waffling on what I want to do and, if you've been following my streams you've seen me throw out a lot of concepts but for now I've decided, for sure, I'm going to go back and properly complete SFRPG.

To be honest it's been something that's been eating at me to do. But I'm stuck in a crossroads on how I really want to execute it. So I'm going to take a poll on the options.

1) Remake it on RPG maker -

pros: Will be much easier, and faster, to accomplish. Will feel like the previous game. I personally like using it for this kind of thing. It has a very nostalgic feel.

cons: Very unprofessional feeling to make something on it? Especially since this will likely go the way of SFOAS and be for sale/for Patreons. Also its very limiting in a number of ways and a general pain in the ass to use.

2) Make it a top-down RPG on gamemaker -

pros: Much more professional. Much more flexibility and control than what RPG maker offers (especially in the way of menus).

cons: Will take MUCH much longer. This is what I've been off-and-on trying to do and it's a pain in the ass. Because of the workload I'm going to be much more limited on text descriptions and lean more on visuals. This may be a "pro" in some ways though. To be honest, unless there's overwhelming demand for this option its my least likely.

3) Make a point-and-click RPG on gamemaker -

pros: A good in-between of effort necessary and control over all aspects. Shouldn't take too long to accomplish and, in general will allow for a lot of cool ideas imo. Will have a good balance of visuals/text descriptions. This is my personal choice if nothing else.

cons: Some people like the ability to see their character(s) walking around the world and that will NOT be available in this version. You will be able to see your character but it will not be directly interacting with the world. Also, though not as much as the previous option doing it myself on Gamemaker will take a bit.

Pick what you like BEST. If you have ideas feel free to comment them below. If you have specific aspects of what you've liked in previous games I'd also really like to know that too.

seems like you can save the walking animation for a less intensive concept
