Kaiju Slaying Omake: Rei Mysterio

So I know I said I was gonna take this month off. And I did! Not taking money for the month of July. And honestly yeah, it was needed.

HOWEVER!

I saw an image that got me bit by a bug and I had to write this. It's pretty minimal, and as far as where in the timeline it happens, I don't think it's too important.

But it gave me a chuckle to put it to digital paper, and I figured a few among y'all might get a chuckle out of it too. Also, I'm gonna keep lil' side stories and omakes as a Patreon/Subscribestar exclusive to give ya'll a lil bit more value...or something.

Kaede tried not to stare as Pilots 00 and 01 argued in the elevator next to her.

“Okay right, look, I’m not even mad, but where did you find it?” Shinji pressed, his plug suit showing off his tall, broad, and very muscular physique.

“A Luchadora does not reveal the secrets of her mask.” Ayanami answered, wearing a colorful mask with shiny bits and bobs that revealed only her mouth and eyes.

“Is it one of mine? It doesn’t seem to be one of mine. It’s too small. Rei, where did you find it?” Shinji pressed.

“There is no Rei here, I am Rei Mysterio.” Rei answered in a deadpan.

“Y-You included your name in your Luchador title.”

“Rei Mysterio.”

“Rei, you can’t just add ‘mystery’ to the end of your name and have that be your Luchador title! There is a procedure to these things!”

“Rei Mysteriooooooo.”

Shinji remained quiet for a long time, the doors to the elevator opened and he sighed as he stepped out. “Can I call you ‘Rei’ for short?”

“Rei Mysterio allows this.” Rei answered as they walked away, their plug suits doing an amazing job of showing off their physiques.

Kaede watched them leave, then pressed the button for the floor she needed to go to.

“Never a dull moment with those two.” She muttered.
