Writing Update 25/02/25

Good Evening folks.

Another update cycle past. And I remain forever thankful to all of y'all's. Cause man, the year started and it didn't start easy, and it's not looking to get easier.

NOW! Those of y'all putting down any cash at all. I am certain there is one question in particular burning you lot up. Specifically on the Patreon.

The answer to whether or not Ch 5 of He Who Fights Demons gets turned into a meme. And while it looks like a slam dunk victory. One needs to keep in mind the tiers and their voting power. Several of the votes toward the meme choice were not as heavy as the rest. Now, were we only counting the Patreon, this choice would still have won.

BUT! Due to a 200% increase in the voter turnout for the Subscribe Star, all but one of whose votes went to not the meme. The 'do not go with the meme' choice received a swing vote and won by I shit you not exactly ten votes.

And so, I am genuinely sad to say. The chapter will remain unedited.

However, those of y'all who voted yes. We are mood kindred, you and I. Let the meme ending live on in our hearts.

If you would have liked to have seen the meme ending, but did not vote cause you thought it was in the bag...well...yeah. I am sad.

SADNESS ASIDE!

The next chapter of Saving Yourself is coming along well. And this week has thankfully started not nearly as awful as last week. So I am (relatively) confident I won't have to all but kill myself to get things done this week!

I have the general outline I want for the chapter done and ready, and will endeavor to get the whole thing written in time. And even feel pretty okay about the prospect right now!

Here is hoping that remains the case.

Numbered because I will now tell you their names and their 'personalities' that led to them being given that name. Please ignore Karchev looming in the background looking disapprovingly.

1.-Berserker: His name is 'Shinies!' because at the tabletop, he'd go haring off to the first shiny thing he saw and often bashed it to death with his axes.

2.-Mad Dog: His name is 'Huff Puff' He's a steamjack, and he always ran over the nearest enemy infantry like an out of control locomotive.

3.-Rager: His name is 'Shy' he was shy, stuck to his Warcaster like a limpet, and spent most of the time hiding his face behind the shield.

4.-Decimator: His name is 'Halves' any time he fought an enemy jack, he always took out one half of the jack before starting on the other. Literally, it would always work out that it always damaged completely either the left or right side of a jack, hence 'Halves.' Cause he always cuts things carefully in half.

5.-Marauder: His name is 'Fives' cause he always walked up to the nearest enemy and tried to give them a double high five. This always resulted in sending them flying.

6.-Juggernaut: The first of the Juggernaut brothers. 'Poulty' because he literally always picked an enemy up and threw them. Every game.

7.-Juggernaut: The second of the Juggernaut brothers. 'Pokey' because he'd always run up to an enemy, poke it with its fist. Then miss with its ax.

8.-Destroyer: His name is 'Tryagain'. Because he never. Ever. Ever. Ever ever ever EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER. Landed a shot. But he kept trying. The one time he landed a direct hit? It was a dud. He still danced a jig in happiness.

9.-Destroyer: 'Deadeye.' No matter if he shot directly or over a hill. He always nailed the shot.

10.-Kodiak: His name is 'Dirtbag.' He is one dirty fighter and would always headbutt everything in its vicinity. Most of the time, this was an enemy.
