Writing Update 08/01/25

Good evening y'all.

Not gonna lie, this week has not been a good week over on my end. Work on the next Kaiju Slaying is currently at roughly 250 words. That said, I've reached mid-week before with even less written and managed not to break my streak. If I get to Saturday and I think I won't be able to make it, then I'll let y'all know I fucked up and let you lot down.

If I don't, that means no news is good news.

On a somewhat related note, I've started doing rough storyboarding for the story that will come after the conclusion of Saving Yourself. Still very rough outlines and deciding on plot beats etc. Not gonna say what it'll be about, but I will say that it's gonna be something near and dear to my heart, and I can only hope that some of y'all will learn to love it as much as I do.

Or hell, maybe I'll get lucky and one of y'all will know exactly what I'm playing around with and will get a chuckle out of it.

That doesn't mean that I'll slow down on Kaiju Slaying or Saving Yourself, just that I'm putting an iron on the fire, as it were.

On other related news...not gonna lie, it's a good thing I'm not a betting man, cause I would have utterly failed to predict the result of the poll. Looks like just over a third of y'all voted, and the poll ain't gonna close for another couple days, but still, looking at the 'preliminary result' as it were...that's not the one I thought was gonna win. XD

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!

So the sequence of events will be, this weekend Kaiju Slaying (hopefully), next weekend Saving Yourself, the weekend after that, the winner of the poll, which is looking to be He Who Fights Demons.

Who knows, maybe there will be a last minute upset and one of the other two will win. Never say never and all of that.

Anyways, I won't keep y'all any longer, have a pic I took while doing the very serious and not at all silly thing of setting up my lil' plastic army men while making 'pew pew' noises.
