I Cannot Thank You Enough.

When I started this thing yesterday. I had resolved myself to it being a quiet, empty graveyard. To needing to toil for months before anyone would deign to deem me worthy of a tip.

Being entirely honest. A large part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop. For someone to laugh and point at the camera, and tell me I fell for a joke done in very poor taste.

I'll not mince words, this was something of a desperation move. And the immediate support that I've received has been very moving. To the point that it buoyed my mood at work, literally all day. Something that is usually quite impossible, and often only achieved by pictures of my dogs.

I am struggling for words that I can use to thank you. You lot who have chosen to tip some random asshat on the internet, who has a minor talent to put words together in a hopefully pleasing configuration. Every time I try, I cannot help but feel they sound empty, rote, and insincere.

Everything I've tried putting down and immediately erased, sounded overly flowery, saccharine, and soulless. Reminding me of so many empty speeches, said with plastic smiles, and delivered with corporate precision to target the right mood in an audience.

Perhaps I'm a bit of a cynic. Perhaps I've just been beaten down a little too far.

I shall do my best to keep in mind, that everyone who asks for something, must earn the right to monetize. And I promise that I will do my outmost to ensure you are not disappointed that you decided to throw some money my way.

So. As cliche as it sounds. Please let me just say: From the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

I'mma share some stuff I think is cool.

Have a timelapse of a catapult being printed on my 3D printer. As well as a picture of a Catapult and a tank.

I'm into model painting and got a 3D printer a couple of years ago, when times were not as lean. I'm kicking around the idea of making a new tier that costs a little more, using my printer to print models that I'll then paint, and then raffle said model to anyone on said tier. And mail it to whatever address the winner wishes, the post will be on my dime.

It's been nearly twenty years since I used a sculpting software, my career unfortunately did not take me in a direction that facilitated mastering that skill. But I do have STLs for low poly versions of all the Gen 1 Pokémon. And hey, if anyone sends me STLs of cool stuff, I'd be more than willing to print and paint those.

Ya'll's support has also made me think of what else I could do to put out entertaining stuff for you lot other than writing. Such as dramatic readings of text or poetry (finally put those 18+ years of doing voices in tabletop roleplaying games to good use). Perhaps commissioned stories. Or...anything really.

I could use some advice on that.

Lastly. I have two other stories that I started writing, both WC stories. Technically three, but one of those was going nowhere, so I had to scrap what I had (a few thousand words...let me tell you, that hurt) and start it over from scratch. My main two stories that I'll be putting the lion's share of my effort to, are "It's About Saving Yourself" and "Kaiju Slaying For Death and Profit", so those that will be posted soon won't be updated as often.

I'll post those here over the next few days. It'll take that time only because I always re-read the text one final time to try and catch any mistakes, which is a bit of a process. And I need to be in bed soon because I need to be up at 5 am to get to work.
