Hey all!

I'm proud to present my latest creation: patron.fredboat.com

Since FredBoat Patron was initially introduced, I have manually had to add the patron bot to over 150 Discord servers. This is rather inefficient as it requires me to actually join your server AND be trusted with the "manage server" permission. Not to mention I can't be awake 24/7. The solutions is to automate all of this with a webapp. Eligible patrons ($2 tier) can now automatically control where they keep the patron bot.

This also means that you can now move the patron bot between servers without first getting in touch with me.

How is this made possible?

This website is made possible by the fact that both Discord and Patreon use something called OAuth that allows you to verify your Discord and Patreon identity without ever giving away your password. The patron bot is now marked as a "public" bot, meaning that other users than me can add it their server, however, the bot has also been set to only join a server if my automated system approves of it. About 75% of the code going into this project is actually all the logic in the background that handles these automated approvals.

The site itself is written in React.js and with a Java backend.

More reward tiers offering multiple bots per user (price TBD)
Automatic handling of the Patron role in FredBoat Hangout, since the official Patreon Discord bot is broken.
Automated removal of the patron bot from former patron's servers. I imported my spreadsheet into a database, so active patrons shouldn't be affected.

To clarify, if you have the patron bot where you want it to be, and you are actively paying for the bot in your server, nothing is needed on your part. Thanks once again for all your support! Without the financial support I'm getting via you guys I wouldn't be able to sustain even a fifth of the load the public music bot is getting!
