I've been rather inactive in this front for a little over a month, and I thought I'd break the silence!

There was this phase where I lost much of my motivation to do much anything, but I'm working myself back into speed. I'm now in this sketching and doodling phase, where I create some new ones and revisit some unfinished pieces and try making big changes to them to see if they begin to click.

So I have two monsters ahead of me, outlines and colors. While I did manage to brush one old piece, I don't feel many of my sketches are so well defined yet that I'd feel comfortable inking them yet in my state. At times I can just wing it when it comes to details, but now it's not that sort of time!

Then there's the colors. I tend to swing between a need to improve and re-invent myself, and a state where I feel that how I work works for me and is good enough. Right now I'm in the former side of things. So I've been looking at things like switching to Krita and figuring alternative workflows, and I don't know if anything will come from that. I've some sketches that I feel like they need to be excellent before I can let them go, so that hampers those a bit.

In the mean time I've been taking swings at Godot and Blender, see if I can find motivation from either one. I feel like 3D might be a thing, now with Blender 5.0 out with things to learn and hyper-fixate about.

Lastly, I do try to be active on Mastodon (https://meow.social/@ducky) if you, for some reason, need to check my pulse and if I'm still breathing.

I'm also cautiously thinking that I should try and take some requests from Patrons, if for nothing else than to justify the existence of this page! Limiting to generic, common or my own original characters, though. So if you have something, give me a suggest.
