2022-10-03 16:21:04 +0000 UTCI've spent a lot of my adult life caring for elderly people, and one lesson I learned is: The elderly (And disabled) don't have many people to care for them. I'm from Australia, and I had to FIGHT to get care for my grandparents, to FIGHT to care for my grandparents. Societies like Australia make it harder to care for the elderly and disabled in all senses - From helping peeps to help themselves, supporting keep peeps alive and helping peeps to die with dignity. Euthanasia is about more than "dying", but "dying with dignity". Dying with dignity means more than just the death - But the whole process. And the process of death can take minutes, hours, days, weeks, years, decades. Yes, people die - We all die. It's sad, it sucks, and while I'm able to be open and honest I still cried like the rivers of hell were coming out of my eyes when my grandmother died. That sh** hurts. But, people die. And as a society, as family members, as people who love, we can make dying with dignity a reality. Thanks for your work dude. Keep it metal.
