Quick weekend check-in/WIP: Yoruichi Shihouin (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War), plus other quick updates

I was busy most of the last two days this weekend running errands and other real-life stuff, but I spent some time working on Yoruichi and some other character models last night. I did some other stuff since the last update, but I'll focus on the last few things I've done for this post and save the rest for the next bulk update I put out in the next few days or so.

Related to Bleach, I made a character model of Kūkaku Shiba's design from the original Bleach anime series (with help from my assistant with data collection). I think she turned out great! Like effectively every generative model with elements like hers, her prosthetic arm/its position and her tattoo placement/design output can be very hit-or-miss. Still, overall, I believe this is the best publically available model of her that I've seen.

I also did a new version of a 1980s-styled Lum from Urusei Yatsura character model for a commission based on a specific appearance in the anime before they switched animation studios/the art style). For those curious, Urusei Yatsura switched studios from Studio Pierrot to Studio Deen later in its production. The amusing thing? Studio Pierrot also did Bleach! So everything comes full circle with these otherwise unrelated two series/character models!

Coming back to Yoruichi, the good news is that the model visually looks excellent and does a great job of replicating the anime's art style! The bad news is that I'm noticing an unacceptable amount of color/outfit bleed between her standard outfit (the first picture) and her black leotard (the 2nd picture; it works a lot better from behind on version 1). Picture three is an example of how it mixes elements of her black leotard with her short orange dress. I'm planning on making some tweaks and a version 2 that should hopefully correct this issue; it should be ready tonight or tomorrow morning. For now, have a quick, nude pinup (naturally, the model works best when she's not wearing anything!).
