Added 2024-06-26 17:00:32 +0000 UTCI spent some time looking into how to create character models over the weekend, and I can safely say I am comfortable making high-quality character models on my own now! I decided to make my own since I really like Carol as a character, and I didn't see any character models that adhered closely to the anime's art style. I spent a good chunk of the day yesterday going through the 12 out of 13 episodes she appears in and taking/cropping screenshots of her in every outfit and angle I could find of her (I ended up with 372 images!). Doing this was tedious and time-consuming, and I probably took more data samples than needed. However, at the end of the day, I'm thrilled with how well this turned out! I have attached a handful of images I did as a test, many of which look like they could be screencaps from the anime!
週末にキャラクターモデルの作り方について調べてみたんだ！キャロルというキャラクターがとても好きだし、アニメのアートスタイルに忠実なキャラクターモデルを見たことがなかったので、自分で作ることにした。昨日は、彼女が登場する13話中12話を見て回り、ありとあらゆる衣装やアングルの彼女のスクリーンショットを撮りまくった（最終的に372枚になった！）。これをやるのは面倒で時間がかかり、おそらく必要以上のデータサンプルを撮っただろう。しかし、一日の終わりには、この出来栄えに感激している！アニメのスクリーンショットのような画像もたくさんある！
Moving forward, I plan to keep models I make exclusive for at least a week or so on this Patreon. However, since I really love Carol a whole lot and wanted to see what people can make with it, I've publicly made this model available.
