quantifica february (part 1)

Hey team! Happy March! Let's crunch-a da numbers.

MANA
There was no release this month, which is (understandably) less than I wanted. I'm working on a video on Edgar Wright's Cornetto Trilogy, and, despite having written a first draft literal years ago, I got stuck in the writing. Finally pushed through the block and got a draft workable enough to start editing, but not in time to get it out before the end of the month. Nebula has agreed to sponsor it (woo-hoo!) and we've set a tentative release date around the Ides, though I'm hoping to get it done before then. (Some travel and a stomach bug have slowed that down, though.)
We can see the lion's share of the work has gone into the writing, and the audio was a bit more effortful than usual this time around. We're early in the edit, so hard to say how much work the video portion will be at this stage; I'll include a pie chart with the full project in the next quantifica.
Rather than track manahours, this time I'm tracking mana expectations vs. execution, to try and get a sense of how effective my predictions are. We can see, in Week 3, I didn't really get to touch the project at all, so that's a massive over-estimation. But Weeks 1 and 2, I did the tasks I intended to do, and, in both cases, they took slightly more energy than expected, so I'm still underestimating. Something to keep in mind.

FINANCIALS
We've managed to (slightly) exceed the target for the second month in a row! That's pretty impressive, given there weren't any releases. Some of you will be happy to know: I was correct that a few more patron payouts cleared after last month's quantifica, so the gap between Patreon target and Patreon income shrank from -4.15% to -2.78%. I'm hoping something similar happens this month, but we are still short of target on my most reliable source of income. We only managed to meet target thanks to being up on AdSense, getting some more Nebula income, and a brief gig I did for a friend that brought in some bonus cash.
I think we are due for a Patreon revamp. Time to reannounce this page on the channel, discussing the various projects we're doing this year, and rejiggering the perks so I'm not promising things I haven't delivered in a long time. (Among the projects for this year, I will be going ahead with Classic Noir Bingo, probably starting in August and counting down the weeks to Noirvember. Stay tuned for details!)
I'll be ironing out the revamp details this month, and probably soliciting some opinions from the lot of you. :D

BINGOS
Again, no bingos. Realizing a lot of things on my bingo card cannot be considered "achieved" until the end of the year - things like "don't have a sciatica relapse" and "don't freelance" - and several more are cumulative things like "do [X] at least [Y] times." So it stands to reason there would be a slow start to this. Still, hoping to get one knocked out before Q2.
