Hello hello, welcome to another live show archive. This time coming from Germany, I believe from the Rolling Stone Weekender fest? If memory--and the hard drive of board mixes I'm looking at--serves, we played two dates at this festival. One was at a big, indoor, carpeted room where we played a brobdingnagianly long cover of "Can't Get No Satisfaction", and this one was an outdoor one where we played a more normal-length cover of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" (the only other time I think we pulled this out was at ANOTHER German festival a year later, The Breeders were standing backstage and I was slightly terrified). I remember the crowds from this tour being kind of a pendulum, some of them were intensely cerebral and reserved until the moment you went offstage, at which point they'd break the ice and tell you you did a good job; others (like this one) were a lot more effusive and animated, and I can tell we're all having a good time during this one. Keep your ear-eyes peeled for Gianni's little vocal prank during pre-chorus 2 of Hippie Powers.
