Production update 2025-01-11

Hello everyone!

One week has passed, and production has been ongoing. Let's dive into it!

Last update, as soon as I finished the production schedule, I figured, "Hey, why not get a little bit of a lead by recording during the weekend?" Well, that turned out to be a great idea, because on Monday, I got sick. Again. Thankfully, I had a couple of recording sessions under my belt, and so I was able to edit mostly on pace, until I ran out of material on Friday. I was able to record today, and I might edit Friday's section tomorrow to offset the slight delay I have.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the amount of work I was able to do this week, despite being sick. The video is already close to 15 minutes in.

I find the simplicity of world record progression timelines to be almost comical compared to speedrun explained timelines. Compare this with the any% TAS from 2020:

That's not to say this video isn't without its challenges, but I do find it refreshing that the editing is somewhat easier. I am making good progress!

With that said, there isn't too much in terms of visually interesting screenshots I can share. I'm once again making some graphs, but that's about it in terms of cool stuff.

 Music

As you know, being in Spain until June, I am unable to record any music for a while. I recorded as much as I could in the week before I left, but you guys have already heard nearly all of it. As the project stretched from two parts to three, I started to feel like the amount of music I made simply wasn't enough. So, I enlisted my brother!

He usually only does the final audio rendering using his bank of professional piano sounds, but he agreed to record more music for me! I sent him four arrangements that he's in the middle of recording, and I might have a fifth to give him. Unless something special comes up, that's probably gonna be it for this project. I'm pretty excited to have more music to work with!

That's it for now. Hopefully, I will have time for another update on Thursday, but if I don't, next update is going to be on Tuesday the 21st. I'll be out of town on the 17-20th, because I'm going to Paris for the weekend! See you next week!
