Production update 2021-10-19

Hello everyone!

I'm sorry I forgot to type up an update yesterday. I got wrapped up in editing stuff until late at night.

I do bring great news though! Here's the updated progress on the video:

• Script: 100%
• Recording: 100%
• Editing: 89%

Comparing to what I was aiming for last week, albeit one day late, we can see I did finish the recording as planned, and I smashed that 75-80% goal by almost completing the editing as well!

Now, that being said, it's not a "true" 89%. There are things I'm leaving for the very end, like that top of the screen A press counter, and the placement of all the footnotes along the video. I've also got one or two more piano pieces I need to record and slot in. One of them is sort of recorded, but I need to correct a couple of errors in it, and the other wasn't up to my standard and I had to rethink how I wanted to approach the piece. It might not make it in this video if I'm not satisfied by the time it's time to insert it into the video. If that happens, it'll be introduced in Part 4 instead.

At this point, I feel like my Mario repertoire is starting to feel furnished enough. I might still bring some more music in, but it will be a bit less than 3-4 pieces per video.

Anyway, onto bigger news: you might have guessed it, but with the great progress that was made in recent weeks, I am now 100% confident that I can release this video this Saturday! I will again make a premiere on Twitch, followed by the YouTube premiere. This time, I will not show Parts 1 and 2 before Part 3, so do your own refresher if you feel like you need it! The release will be on Saturday, October 23rd, at 3:15 pm EDT on Twitch, and 4 pm EDT on YouTube. The video will be about 37 minutes long. I will make a public announcement tomorrow. I hope to see you guys at the premiere!

Once again, thanks everyone for the support throughout the video. We're almost reaching 200 patrons, which is amazing. I'm looking forward to start doing editing livestreams. I'll put up a poll soon to ask for people's preferred timeslot for those. Chances are I will stick to one time slot, with maybe the occasional stream in a different one.
