Production update 2020-12-06

Hello!

Not long ago, I hit the 20-minute mark in editing. So, that's where I'm at!

In terms of the actual run time of the video, I'm probably not even a third of the way in, but that's because I'm only about 4 minutes into the run at this point. That's why I prefer to calculate my percentage done in terms of word count on the script. By that measure, here's my current progress:

Script: 100% done
Recording: 52% done
Editing: 43% done

Why is recording still at 52%, you might ask? Well, for a few reasons. First, I try to avoid recording while my girlfriend is home so I don't kick her out of the room to go do something quiet elsewhere. Second, my upstairs neighbours are seriously noisy sometimes. They walk around in boots, they put on loud music all day, they vacuum EVERY SINGLE DAY, all sorts of shit. So, there was often an entire day where I just couldn't record because of it. And finally, I bit my cheek pretty bad a few days ago and I've got a really terrible mouth sore right now. Just existing hurts, and so I want to be talking as little as possible. I may still attempt to record this afternoon and see how it goes.

Anyway, other than that, editing is going well. I showed my progress to Lack and another very helpful person, and they were impressed, so, good news!

I'll post a new update at 30 minutes, which, honestly, might come sooner than you might think! I honestly believe that the December 16th deadline that I set myself is still possible to reach, and for now, I'm aiming towards a possible December 18th release. We'll see how that goes, though.
