OoT's Wrong Warp explained Part 2 is finally out! My expectations for it were pretty low, considering how Part 1 went, but it still managed to somehow disappoint. Here's a graph of the views over the first 7 days after publishing OoT Part 2 (blue) vs. DK64 TAS (purple).

But that's ok. I wanted to finish the project out, and I do believe it was a good one. And even though YouTube views aren't pouring in, even though due to the current situation, monetized views are worth about half of what they were 4 months ago, I've still got many things to look towards.
First and foremost, you guys' support. Thanks to you, I always have a baseline I can expect from every video I put out, no matter how much YouTube promotes it. And I'm really thankful for that.
Second, I'm still editing videos for Kosmic, and he is currently doing very well! The work I do for him helps even things out when my own channel isn't doing too hot. It's been a great partnership and I'm happy to be editing his videos.
Third but not least, I've got many projects lined up for the future and I'm excited about them. One of them, I'm not going to reveal just yet, but it is a Speedrun Explained of an RTA world record speedrun, in a game I haven't covered yet (and not SMB2-J either). The thing is, it's about a time that will most likely happen soon, but hasn't happened yet. I am in the process of preparing as much stuff as I can before I have an actual run in my hands, and then I'll put the project on the shelves until the run happens. When it finally does, I'll fast-track it to get the video out within the month.
The other one is the one I'll be doing next. It is a Mario game on the NES. The record is very optimized. I'm talking of course about Super Mario Bros. 3!
I will cover Super Mario Bros. 3 Any% No Wrong Warp in 10:44 by mitchflowerpower. Because I am still finishing up the prep work for the other project, I don't have much done just yet. But in the coming days, I'll be hard at work on a script, which I will hopefully start recording next week.
I do need to take 3 days off, from mid-Tuesday to mid-Friday. I'll be visiting my girlfriend and we're gonna be shopping for appliances, stripping paint from dressers, and preparing boxes for the move at the end of the month. It's getting really close, and the responsibilities that come with it are inevitably growing, too.
I can already hear the questions. What about SMB2-J? Why not cover that game?
Well, I do think it's a good project, but I believe SMB2-J simply isn't at its fullest potential yet. I don't want to do a Speedrun Explained about it and have it be obsolete while I'm editing it. I'd like the time to reach a somewhat stable point. I'm not sure yet when that'll come, but 7:54.xx is a minimum. It doesn't have to be the ultimate run, just something that I can be confident will stay for at least a month or two.
I've also got another project lined up, and a much bigger one at that. I've been talking with the people involved, and I'm really eager to start working on it. That will come after SMB3, assuming the other runs I'd like to cover haven't happened yet at that point.
So, lots of ideas and lots of motivation to realize them! I'm excited to have my own place soon and build myself a stable work station, including a better audio setup. I'm really excited to see what the future brings. After the move, I'll try to do a quick tour of my new environment for you guys.
Thanks a lot, and I hope you've enjoyed the OoT wrong warp videos, even if they may have been a bit intense to follow. I'm very thankful for your support, and have a great day!
