Production update 2020-03-23
Added 2020-03-23 22:16:45 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
These days, I feel very fortunate that YouTube is my full-time job. I saw my brother, my mother, and my girlfriend all go without work in the past week and it's not fun. I need to say that I am very thankful for my YouTube audience, but particularly to you guys for your extra support. It really means a lot to me.
Good news, though! I've been working well and been doing some decent progress. I believe I am now firmly past the halfway mark on part 1 of Wrong Warp explained! There are some things that are a tiny bit rough around the edges and it bothers me a little, but they're minor details. One alternate view doesn't sync up perfectly because I lost the input sequence I used for the original view, there are some places where I wish I removed the HUD from the screenshots/video, etc.
But, I'm going against my urge to correct all of these minute details that literally nobody gives a shit about, and actually put my efforts towards advancing the damn project. Right now, I'm in a meaty section of detailing the scene transition during a wrong warp step by step. You can see the unfinished screen that I'm working at as I type these words:

I'm at 8:30 of video done! I plan on hitting at least 9 minutes tonight, hopefully even 9:40. I still can't promise a release on Friday. It might be a little tight, but we'll see.
On the video release, I also want to try a different format. The video itself will not be a premiere on YouTube, but I will host a watch party on my Twitch channel for those who enjoy a live chat. Premieres are fun for the live chat, but the reception on YouTube is a bit so-so. I'm certainly not a fan of the fact that it's impossible to rewind or pause a premiere, and if you join late, you miss the beginning, so you have to wait until the end of the premiere to watch the video from the start.
Anyway, I will post here when I'm decided on a release date. Keep your eyes peeled!

It's tough. On one hand, my perfectionism is what so many people love about my videos, but on the other hand, it's what drives me crazy and makes each new video take longer and longer to edit.
