Production update 2020-02-03

Hello,

I feel like I've finally hit my stride. Editing has been going well, and I'm done ironing out the kinks of working with a new game to get my footage. I now have 9 minutes of completed video and the pace is only getting faster. I actually still haven't finished recording all the audio, but I make sure to record every now and then to stay ahead of where I am in the editing.

Unfortunately, due to the sheer length of the project, I think I will miss the February 15th deadline I set myself a few weeks back. I know, I know. I intentionally made the deadline tight, and it's really been working well in terms of motivating me to get working instead of procrastinating around. But I gotta be reasonable here: I will be taking two days off this weekend, so I only got about 10 days to go before the deadline. I would need to work at a 3+ minutes/day pace to make it. So, I'll be aiming for the next week, February 22nd, instead. I'm adjusting it now so that you guys aren't let down when February 15th passes and I'm not ready yet.

I'm also not quite ready to announce the subject just yet, but I'm confident that I will be ready to announce it on the next update. For now, here's what my timeline looks like!

I thank you for your patience. A year ago, I thought that I would end up getting faster and faster at editing videos, but the opposite is true; over time, my quality standards go up and it ends up taking me more and more time to edit a set length of video. I really do believe in quality vs. quantity, so I want to make each one of my projects better than the last. Not necessarily bigger, though! But better.
